Honestly i doubt people 'defending' GGG are not paid employees.
What's there to defend?
It's funny they also use an excuse to empathize with gigantic corporation's employees..
What's next, should i be sorry for Jeff Bezos being bald or something?
I am not an employee of GGG.
I work in software dev though and I am right now enjoying my holidays.
I merely extend GGG employees the SAME courtesy as I have.
They are human too and they are a SMALL company, not some vast corporate who have the resources to keep multiply teams on standby over the year-end shut-down.
So your attempt to paint them as some kind of megalithic behemoth that is persecuting you by .. (checks) ... going on holiday, is just ridiculous.

Tencent has nothing to do with GGG aside from being a bankroll.
And yes 200 people building what's essentially a AAA title is a small company.

If Tencent got nothing to do with GGG, where is Chris Wilson and Erik Olofson?
Also i understand im talking to a paid employee, but still man, how is a bunch of reused assets an AAA game?
Are yearly fifa games by EA also AAA?

Glaze harder. GGG themselves don't call themselves an indie dev.

The product works. You can play all the way to 100. D3 beta was fifteen levels of content.
Lol, I almost forgot about that.
It was a pretty great 15 levels, though. For all folks crap on D3 nowadays, at the time it was great (filled with loads of problems during beta, sure, but it was still like "holy crap it's Diablo 3 finally!!!")
1) "Filled with loads of problems during beta"
2) "Holy crap it's (insert game name here) finally!!!"
3) Seems to be happy about what they got then, even though it's leagues less content than what GGG released, in a similar state according to themself.
4) Does not extend the same courtesy to GGG.
The double standard is so palpable you could cut it with a knife.

You're mistaking me for some other poster who is complaining about GGG or POE2.
I think GGG has done a fantastic job with the EA release, and am looking forward to what comes next.
I'm also happy to give them whatever time they need to get it done well and communicate it effectively.

Apologies! At first glance it read like a snarky reply. My bad :P

Tencent is developing the game?
Tencent has provided working capital.
That's "money" in laymans terms.
In my 30 year long career in Software Dev, I have never ever ever seen a pile of money code or debug any piece of software.
Tencent money is not doing the work.
The work is being done by a small team of developers, who (I again stress) are human and (I again stress) are deserving of HUMAN things like time off.
Their GAME (again I stress) is not mission critical.
Your hurt feelings about their game is not mission critical.
You are not entitled to deny other people their well deserved time off because you have strong feelings about a game.
