The devs deserve their vacation.. but GGG directors could communicate a bit more... directors are not normal employees.. they are responsible for companies even while on vacations ( I know I am one in my own company)... so they could write a page fort he public.. would do no harm

As we wind down for the holiday season we wanted to thank you all for our most successful launch so far, we could not have done it without all of your support. A lot of our team will begin to take some much needed rest over the next few weeks but we look forward to getting back in the new year refreshed and ready for an exciting year of development in 2025. Happy Holidays, Exiles!
Yes and a lot of people expected from the tone of that communication, a new communication on the first working year after new's year. So that is why I think it would be wise for a director to post their "short term roadmap" for the following month.

GGG doesn't want to create a roadmap because then they would have to stick to their word lmao.

GGG glazers will find any excuse to justify devs not doing anything.
I want to play a good game, i dont care about developers and their families, i dont care if they need a break, i dont care if they have a holiday.
I bought a game which i want to work.
Game is mainly reused assets and it still has exact same issues poe1 had, ffs Alva was called Faustus for 2 weeks, way to ctrl c ctrl v latest poe1 league.
Visual clarity has never been this bad in poe1. Delirium is just unplayable in poe2, but its just one of the many untested features in the game.
You've been mad at GGG since 2016 it seems. And reused assets? Which ones?

if you want a polished, balanced, patched game, dont play early access ffs
If you don't want to fix and patch a game in a timely manner don't release a paid EA game. They chose the date to release after delaying a month to supposedly fix MTX; which they didn't do. They chose the shitty time-frame knowing a long break was coming. Release should have been delayed.

-1 OP.
All the whiners on here need some perspective.
This is a GAME. A game.
It's not a service that is crucial to the health and safety of other people.
It's not a central service with broad-reaching financial impact.
It's not a thing where people's lives are at stake.
It's not. Simply not.
Doesn't matter that most people on here have paid $30 or whatever.
The importance of the product or rather lack thereof does not justify 24/7/364 23:59:59.99999999 support shift schedules.
The makers of the game are entitled to have their holidays as I am having now from my very stressful job.
I for one hope GGG had a good break and they can hit the ground running and fix some of the things.
And that all I'm entitled to despite paying the price of admission like everyone else.

For most places that would be on Monday, 6 January 2025.

And would be already great if they do that on Monday or Tuesday. I just hope they do some communication on the upcoming week. Waiting more than the upcoming week, might not be great

When i read some posts here i loose faith in humanity. I dont want to harm someone here or be mean, but many people here need some kind of selfreflection.
I just want to mention, as people already have done here, that the release is an early access and there was a lot of communication about that before the release.
When you know what early access means and GGG told everyone the game is not finished, why did some of you bought the early access?
Its like buying a car of some stranger and he says that the car has no wheels. After you bought it you start complaining that you cant use that car to drive to your workplace, because it has no wheels.
That makes no sense.
Some expectations are so unrealistic.
About the holidays i just can say that every employee from GGG has a privat life and none of them is in the duty to fulfill all expectations during there holiday.
Just cant understand that that so many gamers have not the patience to wait. Gamers like: "Everything needs to me done right now. Why? Because i just want it. Every company i bought games from has to work for me, because i bought there product. They have to be responsive all the time and everytime i want and i just dont care about there personal life, just because i spent a few dollars on there product".
My advice to everyone is just chill and wait. Maybe use your time to do something else. Dont waste time to be mad. Please...

If I did this at my company and release a major piece of software and then just go AFK for a month I would definitely get in trouble.
We have a no release policy during the holidays for a reason :)

Of course it is, that's exactly what it is. Not for the players, obviously, but for the creators. If you treat your job as a joke that you can leave for few weeks just like that because 'holidays', then I hope you're not a therapist, lawyer, or developer of a product that recently released.
