Why no one speaks about the optimization ?

I don't get this thread. If you are not happy with the performance on your PC, get a new one. If you're a PC gamer you're supposed to upgrade every couple years anyway. In a couple months the new 5090 will be available, get that, you'll have no problem.

Are you serious ?
So a Ryzen 7700 cpu and a 6650XT with 32GB DDR5/CAS30 and a nvme with 7000 read / 5000 write , that can run Stalker 2 in 1440p is an old PC and i have to upgrade?

Well if we have consumers like you mate , that's why the gaming industry doesn't give a F... to optimize their games and the hardware industry rip us off every year with small changes into hardware .

Well i am off this sh1t , i will not get anything and i might come back if they get serious

Two thousand euros for a pc to only run POE2 and this is normal , pffff

Don't waste your time replying to him, he's definitely a troll.
Recommending changing hardware every two years or spending thousands of dollars just for the latest Nvidia video card to play PoE 2 is definitely troll.

+1

P.S. I suppose some day this forum needs a re-work
Why no-one? 20 pages topic in Ps5 section without any answer from GGG.

The "no one" was more for the devs and youtubers people
We see everything about gameplay , builds etc and noone speaks about optimaztion
I have Ryzen 7800 X3D and RTX 4070 Ti SUPER
WQHD 145-165 FPS in bossfights and monster waves (ultra settings+ dlss)
no stuttering, no latency issues
just random rare client-crashes (The crashes are already known by GGG)

Thx for the feedback guys .

In all my life as a pc gamer (almost 32 years) , i was buying mid range graphics cards .

I could play anything with my 6650XT in 2K in the past 2 years with everything almost in ultra .

And ofc to mention the Diablo 4 that everyone loves ( :D ) that didn't have any performance issues at all .

Now i am struggling to decide if i have to go with a 4070 (no ti no super as the simple one goes for 600 euros here) or an 7800xt (550 euros).

And for what? To play a game like POE2 ?
I know its a great game overall , but it doesn't feel or look like a AAA game that need top tier gpu in order to run proper.

I laugh with the official system requirements :
RECOMMENDED:
OS: Windows 10
Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-10500 or AMD™ Ryzen 5 3700X
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 2060, Intel® Arc™ A770, or ATI Radeon™ RX 5600XT

Really ?
I had a +30% CPU , +25% GPU , +50% RAM and i am getting lower than 30 fps ..... with your recommendation GGG ?

I had tried Geforce now , the game plays better than my previous setup , but imagine having input latency in this game

I was 80 when i sold the pc , i am 78 now cause i just die in end game maps ( and no i didn't get worse , i was lvl 80 with T7+ maps and i had tried T6 maps to see how geforce now plays)

TL;DR
I might have to wait and see if they will optimize the game , it's the only game that i might play and i will not spend 2K just for a game that is in early access

GGG please optimize the game if you want to keep your customers

Ryzen 4600G playing on onboard graphics (Vega 7) with stable locked 30 fps on Debian linux.**

**conditions apply: after textures have been loaded. Really long loading times.

Srsly guys, framerate problems with a dedicated video card that is relatively new?
I'd say: 1st- ditch windows, thats a virus. 2nd- learn how to harvest the power of your PC. 3rd- close the browser with 500 tabs w/ 4k videos playing.

I honestly can't understand how I can get stable 30 fps on a vega7 APU and you guys suffer with 3080's 4090's etc.

Sorry but.. no. If the company that makes a game post a recommended spec.. the game should run pristine in the recommended spec. Otherwise is false advertisement.
9700k + geforce 1660ti
intel 9'th generation cpu and cheap gpu
i capped my frame rate at 60 fps and im using balance fsr, low settings

most of game i get stable fps but depending on situation i get drops
biggest ones at breach, sometimes ritual also hourglass room(sometimes), those actions take my fps count down to about 30'ish. all this in solo gameplay

overall im very happy with performance since i was woried i will have to upgrade in order to play but i can explore whole content and play daily.

also i have in mind that game is in development stage and things could improve optimisation wise

Mate i am a Software Architect ( i don't say this to say that i am someone special) and i am building my personal computers for more than 20 years

I don't speak about playing in 30fps with everything low in 1080p as u might play with your APU

I am talking about 2K with some setting in medium and according to the system requirements i had to be able to achieve that with the specs that i had provided

Please for everyone else that wants to answer , stop commenting like this post was made by a 15y old that tries to play 2K in a 400$ pc and doesn't know what he is talking about.

Everyone can play however he/she want according to the system they have.
I said multiple times that my system outperforms the official system requirements and i can't even play on stable 40 fps on end game

I am ending the rant, for everyone that is interested you can write your specs here for GGG to see what is happening in the game, i really don't need any help in order to try and run the game better as i know my stuff and i don't mind to play the game in 1080p low settings in a rig that costs more than 1200 euros and was built since 3 months

Good luck with your adventures and sorry for my English as it is not my native language
There's definitely things that causes huge FPS drops that could be optimized, sometimes the FPS loss happens for no apparent reasons like in endurance rooms in the Sanctum trials (small room where mobs spawns and you must survive for about a minute) or when rare mobs in maps dies, their explosion are nothing special but fps drops a lot or when we open a breach in certain maps, all of this could use a trim of some sort to avoid the huge fps loss. There's some kind of saturation going on that need to be fixed.

Why they did an extremely poor job optimizing for video cards, they could solve this simply by not stitching together oversized maps in the background and the smaller cards would be fine. They got lazy rather than make smaller more divided maps it appears in a rush to push enough content to drop. The weaker cards can't handle bigger maps. The net effect is that it compounds issues with server loads and communication as the lagged out card still have to sync. Divide up the freaking maps, the end.
