Why no one speaks about the optimization ?

poe 2 runs smoother than poe 1. i really was afraid before playing it with the upgrade to graphics
on 3080 is unplayable at least for me 25 fps on dx12 , dx 11 works 60 - 90 fps there is a bug in game where very good hardware doesnt work how should work
So far FPS is not a problem for me. I have occasional drops but overall its not something I am annoyed about.

We should talk more about textures/stuff loading on screen with delay. Sometimes it takes few seconds for something to show on screen and sometimes it happens to be deadly on hit attack/boss attack that makes it insta invisible death attack, that one just simply cannot dodge which with only 1 life per map makes the experience very unfair
Game optimized well. Your PC probably not tuned or AMD/Intel or amd/nvidia setup just suck ass, as well as windows drivers, as well as h/w drivers. (I don't deny that PoE developers can't somehow influence this and fix it, but nevertheless this is a global problem that is present not only in PoE.)

Go here first:

Or here as well (I know its Pillars of Eternity 2 thread, but it's just "global/wide" Graphics settings for GPU which can fix bunch of problems)
https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/100913-ive-finally-found-a-way-to-stabilize-framerate-and-stutter/

If you search the forum, you'll find a significant number of people experiencing issues with the 3060 and 5600 Ryzen, as well as with 4080 and 7xxx/9xxxx setups. Most of these problems seem to be related to AMD CPUs, which also related to some windows drivers on W10 or W11. (Fun fact is that on W8, "being W8 not fast system comparing to W10/W11", the game was working better for me)

Path of Exile isn't the only game running on DX12 that causes these issues on AMD CPUs; there are many others, and it’s unclear why this is happening. I started with 80 FPS in Act 1, but then experienced stuttering and 30-50 FPS in Act 2. Some tweaks helped, but when I reached Act 3, my FPS dropped to nearly 10. After some additional tweaking and using different software to diagnose the problem, I was able to stabilize my performance at 60 FPS in Tier 15 without any stutters.

The only issue that remains is Delirium; it's still not well-optimized and consumes hardware resources excessively.

oh boy, have you played poe1 before?

Play a poison build other than viper of mamba on a juiced map with jun on it. The challenge is having a computer able to atleast get 43 fps.

WQHD always 145-165 FPS ultra settings

Sure buddy. In hideout I guess.

7800x3d, 3080, 1440p dlss set to quality and i'm always above 145. Everything maxed except shadow and GI quality, thats set to high and not ultra, ultra eats frames for nothing.

+1 to this

I'm on the recommended system requirement and still having performance issues, some skills and visual effects drops my fps like crazy, every time i kill a rare in endgame for example my fps drops to 12 or something for a second, there's definitely something wrong with that visual effect thingy

GGG needs to give the 'starfield treatment' to poe 2 asap, it's unacceptable that the recommend system requirements they came up with struggles to run the game at constant 60 fps even on low settings

The game runs much worse than Poe-1, and it's also a poorly optimized game.
I am going to be real. I play through nvidia cloud service, the middle package. I have zero problems with latency, but I can't get stable 60 fps with everything on low if I roll the 2080 series, with 3xxx series its barely manageable to get 50-60 with mid most of the time.

I can get stable 60 fps if I turn dlss on and everything into performance, but than I am playing soap opera, like the game looks like soap, blurred to the point poe 1 looks 10 times better.

From what I gathered it's not the cards as their response time is extremely low, its the 8 core server CPUs that are utterly failing. I don't know why this game requires so much cpu usage, but something is definitely out of touch here.

No one cares what your performance is in hideout. In PoE1 I have 400fps, Delirium + Harbingers 10fps.
The same PoE2 Lighting Rod + Orb of Storm + Cast on Shock melt every machine no matter what.
