Two hours, and I’ve gained 0 experience!

Try adapting to the game being harder instead of trying to smash the cube in the triangle slot.

Do easier tiers, get better gear slowly over the span of weeks, then you'll die less. You're welcome!

I’ve died over 20 times!

Think I've found the problem.

Blasphemous HC-SSF Path of Exile 2 enjoyer.

So what does this mean? It means majority of the player base will ALWAYS follow proven build guides, and will seek out the most overpowered builds created by others to guarantee they can actual play the game.

That just how the world works. Majority of people are NPCs whith heard mentality who gets anxious when having to figure things out that is not just doing simple math or geometry.

I can't stand these people "I need to be told what to do otherwise I can't figure it out and that means the game is bad".

Typical elitist no life gamer response that completely missed the point.

TLDR point of post.....

Go to Mobalytics, look up one of the 5 top tier builds, reroll it and play the game. That's all you can do.

ya that, or you could just learn to play the game like the people who know how to play the game did.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

This is how people like you interpret what others call the "way the world works"! Some people can't understand that it's not the punishment itself, but the amount of punishment that’s the issue! They only think people are complaining, without considering whether such a system is reasonable when people are trying to explore the game on their own! They will always take the extreme view that people just want to remove punishment, and never stop to think whether it’s reasonable to lose the same amount of experience at level 70, 80, or 90! In fact, you are just a small minority! When so many players are questioning the fairness of the experience penalty, you just scoff at them because you feel good about yourselves, since you never encounter the problems they face! You should learn from us, instead of exploring and experimenting based on your own habits!

He is right tho, if you cannot adjust to the situation you just admitted you are not a developed human being, sadly uncle Darwin made rules pretty clear.
The penalty is not extreme by any means, I would say it is extremely light and the fact that someone is doing 20 maps per 2h tells us a lot. People need to understand this is arpg not single-player dungeon crawler, people need to also read the bloody company name, and as a gentleman before said stop being NPC.

A mature person wouldn't narcissistically think that a game is there just to serve them! With Darwin brought up, what exactly is going on in your head? So, according to Darwin, you shouldn’t make any attempts to find joy? You shouldn’t try things on your own? Just wait and copy others' results, is that it? When a normal person realizes that a certain approach doesn’t work, they’ll try another possibility. When they realize that changing strategies is difficult, they’ll foresee that continuing to invest time is a waste. A mature person would stop playing the game! My two characters are fine! What you call "adjusting" is just brainless talk! You only see that a single punishment is reasonable, but you don’t consider whether the entire game needs improvements. You don’t care whether GGG should provide a better experience for new players at lower levels or improve the game overall! Instead, you just stay in your comfort zone and criticize others! If you have no life, it’s better not to rush to mock others! This is the advice I can give you as a normal person!

oh by the way, POE is just a game to kill time! It's not a life simulator, nor is it a Darwinian evolution simulator! If you can't understand that, well...

Lol this is an Arpg it’s the most skill-less genre of game. Don’t larp as a chess master here.
If you're dying 20 times in 2 hours (that's one death every 6 minutes, basically every map or every other map)... then there's obviously something very very wrong with either your character or your way of playing or you should just do lower tier maps and farm up more gear first.

I have multiple characters doing t16 maps in standard and now one character progressing maps in SSF and I haven't followed a single build guide. Deaths are rare (although I still wouldn't play hardcore myself)
