If you mean it was a 'choice' to take a 2 weeks worth of leave, I guess yes and no.

Most of my friends as well took 2 weeks now, because that's what people do usually around christmas/new years, it's kind of a double holiday due to the dates being so close, since it's also the end of the year some took even longer holidays as they can't transfer it to the next year, it's not allowed by the regulations ( and I'm not in NZ by the way ).

All of the above have been mentioned in previous replies as well btw.

I didn't see anything breaking, I've been playing fine since day 1 with 4 characters in the endgame grinding endlessly, while leaving my feedback here as needed, I'm still not sure why some are making that much of a fuss about it to be honest.

People aren't usually releasing their biggest product ever in a companies lifetime to have their 41st christmas... I'm sorry you think it's fine that ggg chooses to shit out 500 usd "support our game packs" to then refuse to support the game with literal duping going ramapnt and people getting hacked.If that's to much to ask for I don't know what to say. They can choose to take a vacation after the first month of release? hmm

I'm not the boss, managing teams doesn't mean that you're the "boss", but obviously you have no clue either how companies of this scale work when they have multimillion contracts in line and who'd take the blame.

It's made like that so I can keep our developers safe and I can be the only one to be blamed. Do I need to explain everything around my work? I don't believe I do.

No, sorry, I really got confused when I reached the "this is all by choice", I didn't know if you meant it in a good or a bad way, but I just went ahead and gave it my best shot on replying either way :). English isn't my first language, I'm doing my best here, there will be times that I'll fail miserably understanding some things haha.

I never said that I agree with the "timing of the release", that's a different discussion, but I also understand it since most people are going to be home playing so they can provide feedback in full as well, I'd done that part differently if it was up to me, but it isn't.

I'm only giving my arguments and discussing the vacation part.

I'm not sure how duping affected anyone, how does it affect you, I really don't know, it's a sincere question. It hasn't affected me in any way, I still occasionally use the trade site for my character and the maximum I've ever given was 10 exalts I believe and he's fully capped on resistances and everything, blasting happily through t15s+. So I'd like to understand your side as I'm obviously missing something here by the looks of it.

But in any case, for this matter, this is an EA, it's not a released product/game nor a "league" yet that has a meaning of competition for some, so all of the economy thing shouldn't even be anyone's priority to be honest in my opinion.

I'm not saying that they shouldn't address it eventually, but the players should be testing every spell from their class or every boss & every mechanic etc and provide feedback if they like it or not in my opinion. Economy isn't the priority here "at this specific time" if you ask me, it's if people are enjoying the game and it's mechanics.

Speaking strictly as a developer now, EA is meant to be an alpha, beta at best, you and me should be happy that nobody found an exploit to just truncate the databases in full, that's the reality. "duping" is the least of the problems an EA could've had, there's way more catastrophic things that could've happened, trust me on this if you'd like.

As for the hacked accounts, allow me to not take any positions, I have my reservations of why those people got 'hacked' so it might as well be irrelevant to GGG and their systems, I'd like to leave it at that if possible.

In Australia (and NZ I assume) it is normal to literally close the office for 2 weeks over Christmas and New Year. The team has probably crunched for weeks to get this out before the holidays, and they've earned the break. Go touch grass
