The problem is that. Magic find, influences the economy negatively.
If the game had no economy. It would only matter to you, if you had magic find or not. And then it's a personal choice. Not one that's generating people IRL money.
So it's the game being balanced around the economy that is the ultimate problem. Like a final boss, ya know what I ehm sayin?

The problem is that. Magic find, influences the economy negatively.
If the game had no economy. It would only matter to you, if you had magic find or not. And then it's a personal choice. Not one that's generating people IRL money.

If people have to dump power /defense to use mf. That is the choice. These overpowered poe 1 zoom zoom builds are the problem. Once ggg nerfs them. It will be fine
Maybe use specific gear to mf with??

You didn't read what I wrote unfortunately. I wasn't debating you, or complaining about magic find.
Just pointing to the fact that people are complaining about magic find, because it's *insert spooky ghost voice here* Influuuencing the ecooooooonomy.
Ultimately the problem is that this game is balanced around an economy. And not player enjoyment. People should be allowed to have a 2000% magic find build if they want it. And not have to worry about it being nerfed because oh no.. People are getting LOOT from it, and it's *insert spooky ghost voice here* Influuuencing the ecooooooonomy

To OP, honestly, MF can be a problem, and things can also need nerfs, buff and adjustments. Those are all true. MF Debate has been around for over 20 years. It's a stat that has bogged down gearing and build variety in every game it's ever touched and has largely negatively influenced it. It's not a "Choice" for a build, it's an actual blight on the ARPG genre as a whole. That being said, it can be adjusted, PoE1 finally got it right after a decade and I would like to see PoE2 adapt how it's currently feeling in PoE1, where loot without MF can feel good and MF will only give some advantage overall.

Okay, if they don't enjoy that aspect, SSF is right there. But Trade League has been called trade league since poe1. It's what people play these titles for. You're not gonna convince others that they're enjoying the game wrong or aspects of the game wrong.

Play SSF....no economy. Otherwise, you are playing the wrong game. I'm pretty sure that was his point.
Not every game is for everyone. I will never play a FPS for example.

I play SSF (lvl 85 gemling magicfinder (cough) and I really appreciate how rarity works. Without it, I wouldn't have any mats to juice maps or to craft anything.
SSF should just be balanced on a different scale like ruthless. There aren't enough people who care about it to prioritize it, and anyone can simply choose to play SSF by... making a Softcore character and not trading anything.
