Just get rid of the damn Movement Speed Affix and make characters move faster baseline. So you can actually do boss mechanics.
As it is right now it's just a mandatory stat on boots.
I had so many great boots dropped and crafted with top tier life and resistances and had to straight up vendor them because: No Movement Speed Affix = Unusable

Making Movement Speed an implicit is just a bandaid. It would be better than status quo, but it shouldn't be a thing in the first place imo.
Just make character's movement speed less atrocious and able to do boss mechanics baseline.


This is better than making MS on boots an implicit, but I think I can improve upon it further. Assuming you're suggesting that players have the same MS bonus throughout the from the start, it could cause early bosses to be too easy and the campaign too quick.


Instead, I suggest that players receive a 10% to start, with a quest somewhere in cruel, to get 15% or 20% more. This would result in all characters starting with 10% bonus MS at start, and 25% or 30% bonus movement speed by maps.

Damned, now I feel like a prophet.
Adding movespeed to all boots just means making the game faster.
It's a bad idea that pretends it's about the stat of the item.

Those who want to move faster will sacrifice other stats,
like with every other gear choice in the game.

If you don't want to get rid of the crafting MS completely make it proportional. Possible max MS = base MS + craftable MS.
Something like Max = 2/3 from base + 1/3 from craft.
So in act 1 you could have e.g.
Max MS 6% = 4% base + 1-2% craft
Max MS 9% = 6% base + 1-3% craft.
...
Max MS 30% = 20% base + 1-10% craft.

That way the MS craft is nice to have but not the most critical craft and in some cases it can be considered even trash craft because of small impact. Still not so bad as light radius :D

While we are at it just make all chars 35% faster and all belts have 3 charm slots.

Above is simply more fun.

How many times have you had the 40% Trials buff or the acceleration shrine effect and just wished you could play like that!

Im being a bit sarcastic in my initial statement but do think boots are worthless even with the best unicorn stats are vendor trash minus movement. Charm slot mod is way beyond too rare a modifier.
Use queen of the forest. Ranger side have some movement nodes also. There`s also blink with Temporalis. Mace can use leap slam and shield can use shield charge. Movement speed on both are not mandatory. Huge quality of life yes, but not mandatory.
