Who is not doing their 3rd trial? I'm not until they change it.
" The problem with that is you have to do the Sekhema trials over and over to get good honour relics, and I don't want to sit there doing them for hours. It's extremely boring and feels like a waste of my time. It's content I don't enjoy. Basically, it's near impossible without honour relics and a cake walk after you spend hours farming low level trials to get honour relics. That's a terrible way to do difficulty. It's just time sink. |

" DPS? My build is a Deadeye with 80% evasion + acrobatics, blind, maybe 200+% stun buildup, 2.5aps, 30k dps gas arrow. Everything got super easy when I got a fairly good weapon for 1div, focused on stun buildup, and learned how to manage my mana. Time Wizard took a while, but passively evading almost everything really helped. Last edited by Assababud#2808 on Dec 30, 2024, 5:00:21 AM

+1
I did not do 3rd trial or 4th. I tried but after several hours wasted, realizing just how RNG dependant it is, I refused to try further. Instead I ended up doing so much endgame content I had enough currency to pay for carry lol I'll do so in future with alts unless they change it. And after getting all ascendancies carried for me, it didn't even end up being that big of a deal for my build. Ascendancies sound big didn't end up actually changing how I felt running maps (for me, on my gemling at least). What miniscule actual improvement for my build I got from last 3 and 4 ascendancies, would not have been worth it at all if I continued pouring hours into it on my own. " I completely disagree when Sekhema has given me: Starting with: "No Energy Shield" - OR - "You cannot see a room ahead." Followed by: "No Evasion Rating" - OR - "You cannot see afflictions." Followed by: Three afflictions that I have to guess on, got "You are not sent to where you choose." Followed by: Merchant that doesn't let me dispel any of those afflictions. Followed by: "No Evasion Rating", yes, again. The game chose it for me this time, since it wasn't the room I chose. On an Evasion/ES character. Both trials have this consistent theme of giving the player only bad options and worse, where the bad options eventually bubble up into a worse option and the effect is the same. Then, your ability to do anything about these negatives is completely random. Neither Merchants nor the "Change the parameters of the trial" shrines are guaranteed to actually give you options that help you combat this. The end result is I feel like every run is completely up to the game. I have no agency, I'm just along for the ride. |
