Use a token that is very low level(minimum is 60 afaik for third trial) and wait until you are ~lvl 80. Get some relics with honor res and max honor. You can now play walking simulator in the trial and all you have to do is avoid a random affliction as much as possible.

The game can't be for everyone.
That's right. So, a small player base means a lot of supporter packs for everyone left to buy, so the game can survive.
Nice suggestion.

One of the problems is, that players have to replay it every season. That means, every 3 month. And since it's a fresh restart, players don't have any relics. That means, players will VERY likely have to play it multiple times to get some relics for honour resistance etc. And since lkabyrinth was already a "chore" for many players, these trials are even more of a "chore". If there is a new season, I can see myself thinking "Do I really want a fresh start? I have to do the trials again...". I dont mind the normal and cruel trials, they are doable. But after that it gets frustrating, especially since I can't try them as much as I want. I need coins to enter... So I can't even train and get better.

Suggestion to make a game for everyone is much worst. Blizzard games are an example of games focused on what you are suggesting - maximize playerbase and earnings.

i dont get it, i did the 3rd trial on first try on my warrior and had no issues.
It is static content so you can easily overlevel and overgear if you want to make it easier

If you are having trouble on 3rd floor, oh boy you are getting a handful at 4th floor. 4th floor is much harder compared to 3rd floor. Like monsters suddenly get double health and double damage compared to last floor, for some reason.

Chris Wilson is using the same tools as Blizzard. He wants to stretch playtime to maximize profit. He's putting player metrics over fun. Gigantic maps, lots of back tracking, slow movement speed, ridiculous blown up trials, no crafting, exp loss...should i continue? So, what exactly does he make diffent?
When Blizzard stretched the portal animation in D4 for another second to gain more playtime per player, there was a HUGE sh!tstorm. And that ambition was killed instantly. I am the voice of a gamer having enough of this bs. PoE2 is a great game in it's core. And it's aggressively directed to time stretch every. little. thing. in this game. I'm just having enough of developers doing this.

They took two of the least favorite game modes of poe 1 and made everyone have to do them in poe 2. Is ggg the cable company from South Park that gets off on the suffering of their customers? yes. yes, they are.
I'm a melee HCssf andy who didn't enjoy Sanctums in Poe1 but I actually like the Trials of Sekhemas and Trials of Chaos (please don't flame me), and will probably like the 3rd option. I admit that the Trials of Chaos most likely needs balancing.
I'm very surprised that so many people either hate it or have trouble completing the trials. The first 3 floors of Sanctum seem to be fairly balanced and I'm playing one of the worst classes, surely the slowest. I've read for the floor 4 boss you can stack the stat "Reduced potency of slowing debuffs on you" to help with the hourglass phase.
The problem is that your ability to complete or not complete either trial is pure luck. Both have mechanics like, "Your defensive layers are gone," with absolutely no wind-up, you have 100% or 0%. Sekhema has ways to be stonewalled into those penalties. Minor Afflictions that are far from Minor and are often ridiculous, like "You don't go to the map you choose," basically guaranteeing you to land on debuffs that are awful for you.
Then in the Trial of Chaos, you are effectively forced to take the ones that either make enemies significantly stronger or you significantly weaker, because taking multiple of the area effects is guaranteed death. Between Shaper Donuts, Guaranteed Stun Field, and "If it touches you a few times you just lose," shades, the options that don't directly nerf you or buff the enemy are ridiculously overtuned. And since you only get three choices per trial, sometimes you have three distinct, "You're basically going to lose if you choose this," options.
This is the problem with both. You don't actually have any control, because so many options are catastrophically bad for you. So you're forced to choose the one you hope is least likely to end your run instantly, but even a few of those eventually results in the same thing.
Also the third trial isn't so bad. The fourth requires you to pass these things at their worst multiple times to have the ability to *attempt to* fight the actual boss that unlocks the last ascendancy points. Fail that fight for any reason and you have to go back through the trials again.
PoE2 has a major problem with its time expectations of players, between trials and the Citadels, they need to stop treating us like we all have 60 hours of free time a week to burn on this game.
It is a f2p game, so that's to be expected. Good thing I only care until I get bored. Probably why I never got to the endgame bosses in POE1 until the Wildwood league.
