GGG took the best aspect of Souls-like games—methodical combat—and combined it with loot-driven progression, creating a gameplay experience that rivals, and arguably surpasses, all Souls or ARPG games out there (with the exception of Sekiro).
Do I enjoy dying and losing my map/XP? Hell no - but removing that mechanic will trivialize the game.
If that’s what’s preventing the game from being trivial then there’s really no hope for it to ever be a good game then

EA, EARLY ACCESS - E A R L Y A C C E S S, is out for 3 weeks and most devs in GGG take a rest right now. And you expect them to change the game during this short time? And again, it's EARLY ACCESS. GGG knows that this game is NOT complete. That's why they made an EARLY ACCESS release, because they want feedback and they need metrics. You view this game as a full release 1.0 title, while it's far away from that. So instead of whining, give constructive feedback, give GGG some time and then you can take a break from the game and see, if GGG manages to change the game to your liking. If not, you are invited to leave this game behind and keep playing PoE1 or whatever you want.

You do realize, since it's early access, people are....Get this, it'll blow your mind.

No no no, you don't get it, he's right. We should only leave feedback during NZ working hours, week-days obviously and not on holidays.
