Map Sustain

So one of the issue you come across early in mapping is sustain...
Why do maps of higher level drop a far lower level map, so im just running 10-11 and in last 5 maps ive had 6 maps drop that are below level 5... Surely maps should have something written in that dont drop maps that more than 2 levels below current map level. THese low level maps offer nothing to most people, and if them 6 maps had been 8+ then thats fine i can run them and get map drops again, but im not running level 3 maps to then build back up and hope i get 1 level 10 map I know your atlas helps with drops, but it makes sense having a max disparity between current map and lowest map dropped. It's bad when you prioritize solely map drops on your basic atlas tree and it's still slim pickings at times.
I'm trying to boost maps with towers, trying to save my higher tier maps for map bosses [preferably irradiated & corrupted], etc. and it still doesn't seem like it's enough. Do I need to sacrifice some gear slots and go for more rarity?? Not sure what else I can try as it's tough getting life, armour, resists, strength, regeneration without having to worry about another affix. |

facts. and combined with the 1 death per map and no rezzing of friends it's enough to make me stop playing. Well don't have a choice .... no maps.

Set up your atlas passives properly and this is a NON issue.
It's not that hard to figure out what atlas passives are going to help you sustain waystones Step 1 is to self reflect.

On Tier 6 and map sustain needs to be fixed. Fully spec'd into maps on Atlas, using my regals on maps. Very little dropping. And one on ground effect in a corridor and you lose your map. Unfun.

At the beginning you struggle and now I'm swimming in T15s

I thought that map sustain was OK (200+ hours of play), but as of yesterday, as if switch got turned. Bosses drop 1 map at T15+ (juiced) and normal maps even less so. Provided that sometimes maps get bricked when we try to add modifiers, exacerbates the issue.
Why can't we do 3:1 of T15 maps to get a new T15? At lest we can make use of bricked maps. |

Get this nonsense - it feels like tier of maps is tied to % Magic Find as well. Before I had ANY MF gear on, I specced the Atlas to get as many map drops as possible, with limited success.
I 'upgraded' to 75%ish MF and now I'm getting at least 1 T15 map in addition to all the smaller map drops too. If this is how it actually functions, and not a string of variance on my end (doubtful, it's been consistent every map ever since I did the switch) then Magic Find is truly the biggest blight possible on the game and now a mandatory item stat to do any meaningful progression at all. |
