What they're doing wrong in D3
" Yeah, seriously, this would be like if they ported the original Diablo to the PlayStation. Oh wait. It seems like most of the arguments against Diablo III are taken from the standpoint of "Look at Blizzard, screwing up again." This confuses me, because every major gameplay change Blizzard has done in the past (recent or distant) in my opinion has been, at worst, not really better or worse than the old way of doing it. |

" I largely agree. I quit WoW a while ago. I didn't have the money, and I lost interest. But my brother still plays consistently, and some of the things they've been implementing recently seem like rash and bad choices. Or simple blunders, such as including a new tier of PvP gear to purchase in a patch without actually telling anyone prior to the actual patching. In a serious community that's used to being told everything before it changes, it was a pretty big oversight. Other than what seems to be happening in WoW, they seem to make pretty intelligent choices. Some seem to want to look at Blizzard (or Activision) as the big bully on the block and assume that since they're a giant company now, all choices boil down to money. They're largely the same sort that think writing "U$A" is clever and at all relevant to discussions. Old Tom Bombadil is a merry fellow, Bright blue his jacket is, and his boots are yellow. None has ever caught him yet, for Tom, he is the master: His songs are stronger songs, and his feet are faster. Last edited by TomBombadil#2810 on Aug 19, 2011, 3:01:55 PM

I've never been really that interested about Diablo 3, but now I've decided I ain't gonna buy it. Just... No.

Diablo 3 is fine. The RMAH is a necessary evil for that game. I am glad they are changing things up a bit. D2 wasn't that great and I really do not want to see it cloned. Let D2 rest...
And long live PoE ;) |

Diablo 3 gameplay looks fun, fast and visceral. The effects on many of the spells look really sweet as well. Monster variety will probably keep things interesting and it will probably have high replayability.
I'm not a fan of the RMAH or the always online requirements but can see their use (and flaws). That said, I think the model quality is horrendous, as are the inventory icons. The art style is not terrible, but it's not my cup of tea (except for the high level armors, those are truly horrific). I prefer the darker, moodier atmosphere of PoE by far. Another huge problem is lack of PvP options and the general carebearization of the game. I might buy it or I might not, it probably depends on whether my friends get it. I'll probably be having too much fun playing PoE to care otherwise. |

" For the most part I Agree with this, but there are also a couple of things that i'm uncertain about RMAH, and things that i dont like as well. Sure, it is used to to stop third party transactions, but at the same time, it is inviting D3 Players who have never even thought about purchasing in-game items with Real money, since D3 Dev are just making it an easy option for all players. Before, people were scared and had no trust in those third party's because they were unreliable and were known for scamming players, but now that players trust the transctions... they might be tempted in buying in-game items with real money. All aside, I'm still planning to get D3 because I'm still for a lot of things they're doing with D3. They do the things they do for certain reasons, and I can see their rationale behind all of their actions, sure some people can see them as well, but still don't like them, but i wouldn't start judging them before i actually get hands on experience, and probably then can I start judging them if i start to dislike what they're going for. |

not all of this games must cutt u time

" Here's the thing though, I think most people who use the RMAH will use it as kind of a delayed trading system (at least if they are smart they will). Each week you use your free listings to sell off items that you don't want or need or have no more need for as long as they have some real money value and will sell. All the while you let that emoney sit there and accumulate until you see an upgrade you really want and can afford. Now you have effectively delay traded all that gear you didn't need for an upgrade you can use, all without actually having to deal directly with other players or take time away from your hacking and/or slashing to sit in trade games. The lack of social interaction actual trading brings will be missed by some but not by me, Diablo 2 had too many scammers and idiots for my liking. Not to mention everyone's mentality that their trade items were somehow worth more than every other persons. I think the people who drop say $300 on a lvl 60 and end game gear and circumvent all of the content will be few and far between. And those that do will likely grow bored of the game pretty quickly. | |

I used to think D3 graphics were ok. (you know compared to D2) but when I got to know about this game I was staggered by the gorgeous detail and the real gothic/scary feel that D3 obviously lacks. I sure hope Diablo 4 will look more like this...
Kill it with fire!
