What they're doing wrong in D3

Heh i on the other hand am sucker for that kind of art (cartoonish). I don't mean WoW cartoonish but Borderlands, Firefall and now D3 art.
I see RMAH idea as something you can see on private server (donators) or some f2p games, where you can buy gear with real money and honestly i got used to it. It sucks yeah but in D3 they at least made an option for you to earn money as well as other side spend money so it's all good.

What i don't like is them removing stat points, i love stat builds and it's one of the things that makes your character different from others. Also was hoping there would be more skills, not so much active but passive skills and boosts to your active skills...
Oh and +10 for big inventory, i really hope PoE will increase inventory capacity because from what little i saw it sucks.

The problem with D3,that many are talking about is that it isn't Dark and Gritty like Diablo and Diablo 2.There are about 64,120 people that have signed an online Petition to have Blizzard change it.At this point I don't think that will happen. At the risk of being beaten up I will say this.I think PoE will be the next Diablo,I think these guys are on track for putting out a game that is like Diablo but still different.I am looking forward to playing PoE when it comes out and hope I can get a Beta key to try it out before hand.
At gamescon they just announced that they are developing it for Consoles too, imo it kinda ruins the experience and history behind it to just market it to a whole new audience but hey now blizzard just goes to where the money is now with no heart or soul : /
You guys are hatin! It is what it is and honestly, I think the art style for D3 is great! And Path of Exile may be able to fill the gap between D1 and D2( which was a lot brighter in comparison to the original). PoE is like a spiritual successor, if you will... And it will give us the dark horror fantasy that we liked from d1 and d2. Blizzard, ultimately, decided to bring d3 in a more fantastical route and without that, we wouldn't be here for this ambitious indie game dev group because the Diablo franchise would already be covering it.

I'm glad things turned out the way they did, because I am excited about playing not only the continuing story of the Diablo series, but this fantastic game as well... And who knows, maybe another great series we will come to love.:)
Honestly my dislike to blizzard hasn't spawned from Diablo 3 news, just been re awoken by it, i used to play WoW frequently and the constant money grab tactics and reduction of quality in the game play were a bit nullifying. I will purchase Diablo 3 i am not going to be a closet hater like everyone who claims to be boycotting, i still hope it ends up being an enjoyable experience to at least some audience although i'm not sure they can recreate the good times of the original titles when they had the customer's enjoy in mind, not their wallet.

Personally I cannot wait for both games to come out.

I will gladly play both and I am very confident I will enjoy both tremendously.

I guess some people need to favorite one title over another and it makes them feel better to bring one down so that they can convince themselves that the other is much better.

I think that D3 has all the chances in the world to be a AAA+ title in every way shape or form and that from what we have seen about PoE, we can expect just the same.

I guess my point is, don't compare, just appreciate the fact that you have choices and that you will have 2 very good Action RPGs installed on your drive to waste WAY too much time than you should :)

totally agree...
LOL @TO
PoE also wont have an offline mode and mods are also not going to be supported at all (how to make money out of a f2p when the people simply mod the game instead of paying for "ethical" microtransactions?

I also dislike the style of diablo3 but to be honest, i can get used to it.

Everybody should see that diablo3 may has a lack of individualism in leveling a char, but a high flexibility of playing one
-customiceable skills
-switching between skills (pvp vs pve build!)
-the charging systems (hate and so on) will add a lot mor depth and maybe prevent it being a 2skill spamming game like diablo2 was and PoE will probably be (from the videos i´ve seen so far

The only thing negative is that d3 will be even more item depending (skill customizing system) then d2 but so is PoE (gem system)
.

I've been a big fan of the series for awhile, Im not to upset with the changes the real money auction house was smart, they just have to implement it correctly. Just will have to wait and see.
