An Open Letter to GGG RE: One Portal
" Probably played D2 before you were born, i've self farmed an enigma. You're still wrong. |

I'm growing to accept the 1 portal.. more would be great, but it's not a deal breaker for me.
The XP loss sucks though. A suggestion is: when you die, you lose everything in that map including any experience gained and nothing more. |

" Exactly, and poe1 is a great game. Changing too much of the philosophy can set poe2 off of that course. A lot of people may very well hate this game before it even launches. I don't particularly like it atm. Poe1 has you engaged and excited to play and even makes you think about it when you're not playing. I open this game because there is no new poe1 league right now. That is the only reason. EA grinding 500 maps a week just isn't for everyone i reckon. I absolutely hate chaining maps and prefer bossing so this is not fun to me. The only thing i care about atm is getting these quests off the right side of my screen, on death map loss is just annoying at this point. Its not fun. |

This is a game where you constantly have to be paying attention, because it's so easy to die. The one portal thing is just more bull shit on top of the xp loss bullshit. It's all so tiring. The game starts to feel like work, not relaxing at all.
If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite.

" My point is that in this game, PoE2, GGG has decided to make a design decision that is fundamentally wrong. Try as you may, it's not justifiable. It accomplishes nothing that they intended. |

one portal is good. i have to actually consider defenses in softcore. stop babyfying the game. you already got ez mode sanctum.

" Considering defenses for the first time is a you issue. Many of us have done it for many leagues. |

+1
I've rage quit the game more times in two weeks, than I ever have poe 1. 95% of them trace to the single death per map in some way. It's a poor design decision. If you insist on having it "fail the map", fine. Let it fail the progression. But at least let us complete the area, grab the loot, etc. |
