It's terrible how you ignore casual gamers in PoE 2....

Let people choose how they wont to play don't make them to play ruthless only...

It's real simple.

If GGG wants POE to have a very small niche playerbase after 30 days, then continue with the current plan.

Many people bought this game because they thought, mistakenly, that it would be a "new and improved POE". Unfortunately they found out that it's just a more penalty, punitive focused, POE.

The first run up to 70ish was great. Played with several friends, all the types that push hard in games we play (WoW mythics, POE1, etc etc) and all but me have quit.

Running higher tier maps only to 1) die because you had to blink or 2) rarely receiving a map near the current map level and 3) never getting gear drops worth a shit if you want to run those maps... to top it off with the death penalty taking all the work you did and erasing it, and the map, and everything you couldn't pickup....

The game is going to drop into obscurity and lose the vast majority of it's players once they hit 70 and find out what's really under the hood.

Players at lower levels who aren't used to these games have probably already quit. No one wants to start a game where it feels like you have to play perfect to progress.

Love the game but I already have one job, I don't want to jump into what feels like a second job that threatens to fire you every time you make a mistake.

Exactly my thought on the game. I stopped playing at lvl 74 because I realized what the game needed from me. It demands all of your time and my time is worth more than sprite on the screen. The campaign being so long was the first indicator of that.
For me it's how they brought it to the player base. At first it was going to run right along with poe. Things did not work out so they had to split it into two games. Ok cool that's fine. What we got feels nothing like poe. The skill tree is so watered down and simple. Poe1 tree is amazing so many different types of builds. This tree is a disgrace to poe1. They did manage to bring the on death effects they love so much to poe2 though and with your one life per map. Nothing is rewarding and it is so slow that you just get bored with how big the maps are. Crafting that does not exist in poe2. Everything has been dumbed down so much it's like why even bother. It looks amazing but is extremely boring.
