Yep, not sure what’s so hard for some of these people to realize that. Move on with your life if the game is causing you to start cutting yourself.

Wow, are most of the people in this thread the same group of people who went to Lake Michigan to “primal scream” because Trump won the election?

Man, I hate posts like this. First, calling the hardcore fanbase toxic is ridiculous. Just about ALL the toxicity has come from haters like you guys, spouting off in ignorance about corporate indifference and high level bad decisions - sorry but if you knew anything about GGG, you'd know that is not the case.
Second, I consider myself a casual gamer, but I'm not getting one shot by anything. When I look at people's builds who complain, it is ALL offence. And then they wonder why they're so squishy. Yes, you need offense, but consider the layers of defense. The game, at least the campaign is definitely NOT overtuned any more. The difficulty requires intelligent play and a balance between offense and defense. If that's not something you can wrap your head around, then that's a shame.
I do agree about the Trials, both Sekhemas and, especially, Chaos. Even as a POE1 players, I would never push Chaos to 10, not ever, as I know I won't make it. They still need to greatly tune down the debuffs in both, as well as adjust the trash between the stages and the bosses. The bosses themselves aren't a problem, which sort of says it all, as most of the time you just can't can't to them because of the other mechanics (or you honour is already shot in the case of Sekhemas).
That said, the majority of the criticisms here are unfounded and delivered in an incredibly mean-spirited way, so for the OP to talk about the toxicity of the community is ridiculous. Given he and many others are so toxic and hateful in their speech, is it any wonder they encounter negativity from others? Try not being an a**** and watch how differently people respond to you. You might be surprised.
What's that old rule that it seems so many have forgotten? Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Inethil
I love how much Irony I can find with this ridiculous rambling. You can't even make this stuff up anymore.

As many others have said.
So why advertise this game as a sequel to PoE1, and as an ARPG Looter?
When it is neither of those things.

You forgot to add high-level items with low-tier affixes, with the same value as level 1 items.
You forgot to add that the process of getting items involves continuing to spam rolls until you get an opportunity to kill a trash mob with gigantic HP and that gives a oneshot, and you forgot to mention that if you make even one mistake, the player dies and loses all items and 10% exp.

Ok I'll bite. Exactly how in your opinion is it NOT a sequel to PoE1? Because you can't blast maps in 15 seconds? I'd implore you to go look up the original series of build of the week.

I’m not sure what this wall of excuses are, seems like you struggle
Start picking up loot though, that will be a start to learning a bit more

Really hope GGG dont cave in and listen to all these cry baby posts. The game is not too hard, if a certain boss is too hard for you then go back and farm some more which the game is all about, farming items.
Check vendors for upgrades every level. If you have decent gear and your dps still suck then its your build, maybe do some changes there.
If you play standard you can get away with very low resistances.
It's either they "cave in" and improve the game or it just dies.
Be more specific. Farming gear for other classes instead of the class currently playing. The drop rate shows that. Players don't have fun playing because there is no class identity in the early game, and progression is a penalty. You need to get enough gold from farming items to buy items, vendors don't refresh often.
I have a lot of items (especially magic and rares) for Warrior, Ranger, Monks, and Mercenaries but not the class I am playing - players get pissed off. There is no class identity in the early game. If gear doesn't matter in the early game, why do we need gear at all in the early game?
What is the game supposed to do at the beginning? During progression, discover a class and learn about gear. This game fails with item drops in the early game so I can’t learn about gear much.
In Act 1, I found only 2% of the gear which the minions build. In Act 2 I haven’t found it yet, and almost 40% done. It is boring, and when I find gear for my class, I am not excited at all. Games get boring by the time you find gear.
Why can we play another class and collect gear for my dream class? What do you think? Is this an intentional game design?
