Allow us to replace (overwrite) runes.
"I'd prefer a system where I don't feel punished for past choices when I pick up a piece of loot. Let's say I get an upgrade but by wearing it ruins my resistances, the obvious fix in PoE1 would just be to adjust them on the crafting bench. But in PoE2, I don't have the option of changing my runes. It's a system that makes it so loot is even less enjoyable then ever. Every new upgrade comes with the downside of needing to get entirely new pieces to adjust something as simple as resistances. It's a crappy system in the long run and just adds more grind for the sake of it. |

" No point in trying to reason with a player like that. They are just going to say "you want things easy/afraid of making wrong choices blah blah blah". It seems an overwhelming majority of players want this one element of flexibility to our gear so I think it is likely to happen sooner rather than later. Make Things For Smile! I seem to recall that Grim Dawn did it fairly well. You take your slotted item to a blacksmith, and can either: 1) Salvage the socketed item and destroy the piece, or 2) clear the socket and destroy the insertable.
That seems fair to me. |

Yes, this need to be done. Any time you pick up new gear and your resistances change your forced to look for perfect drops instead because you have already invested your runes a specific way at the moment.

OP is right

" Or u res cap with that rune only for a gear upgrade to drop but it has the res u just crafted so ur overcapped on it and lacking res in something else. Common experience One cannot help but wonder how such a lust for loot can affect a persons mind. Although these exiles appear to be our salvation, it would not take much for them to turn on us as easily as they fight gods and demons.

I personally agree with overwrite/overriding runes, but making them be "Stuck" in corrupted items.
This keeps some permanency if the item is corrupted but allows you to flex on a non-corrupt piece of gear. |

yea, im fine with not being able to re use them, but i see no reason i cannot OVERWRITE them if the item isnt corrupt
