Its hard because your gear is absolute garbage, just go buy some on poe trade for 1ex. You can buy a weapon right now for any class any build for 1ex that will literally let you kill every boss in acts in less than 30 seconds. Buy some resist gear and now instead of 90% of boss attacks one shotting you if you don't roll, only 10-20% will.
Game is made significantly easier through gear, and you have an official trade site and extremely easy p2p trading that facilitates that. If you want a soulslike expierence, play SSF, but don't play tradecore/standard and just refuse to trade for some inane reason.
Yeah, that's not fun progression
If the answer is "just buy gear from other players that makes you OP"

What sucess? Hype you mean? The game isnt a week old and at least 30% of the playerbase already left, 2 more weeks and you will have less than half of that, and that´s a new game with lots of hype around it and shiny new graphics (at least the sound and art direction did an amazing job), the game is in a really bad state right now, some systems do not work in this type of game and the balance is atrocious, be it the trials, constant one shots out of nowhere with basically no way to counterplay etc.
Btw im lvl 87 and doing tier 15 maps, so i know what im talking about.
The game is 0 weeks old, don't you know what beta means? The player loss is natural, the hype skyrocketed after that last stream, but it is an early beta after all, no matter how much content it has. You're also ignoring the fact a portion of players with spare keys may give them to people who simply didn't like the game and already quit. You're also ignoring that some people have other shit to do, other games to play, and will not dedicate their entire free time to beta testing.
Also, your appeal to authority there shows the problem is not the game, it's you.
Not saying the beta is without flaws and there are no legitimate complains, but you need to at least try to explain why the beta is in bad state, why the balance attrocious, etc
I have various posts explaining what is wrong and needs to be changed, here and on reddit, the game at this moment only wins from PoE 1 in visual fidelity and sound, everything else PoE does 10x better (atlas idea "stolen" from Last Epoch is cool tho, but atm doesnt have anything exciting going there), and btw, so many things changed so people would use more skill combinations, guess what? People blasting maps with 1 button and ignoring all that, because afterall most people (at least those who actually stay) are here to chill and get some cool gear/builds going.

My point was more that you provided it as the solution
The game should still have meaningful progression from drops/crafting etc
Not saying it doesn't
I haven't really played much PoE 2 myself yet since I Made it to actII

Next year people who like souls’ games will be going back to Elden ring, 2025 looks like a massive year for gaming and I am 100% sure Diablo will pick it up now.
If you want to stay on this road (which is your choice) your player base going to suffer, if you’re okay with that then fine, if not you will need to make changes as soon possible, people won’t wait around.
Either way, decide your audience, stick to it, and more important tell people what your road is now, because the worst thing you can do right now is not say anything.
They've been "telling people what their road is" since mid 2023.
There are no surprises in this game for anyone who's been paying the remotest amount of attention to prerelease media.
They've been giving influencers and the media steady previews for most of 2024, and those people have shared their insights.
Everybody who cared to know what POE2 was about knew what PoE2 was about. if you didn't? That's on you, not on GGG. The fact that you don't like the direction they took the game has no bearing on the developers' honesty. They were up front with us for plenty long enough to make an informed decision.
Then they shouldn't be an issue with them making a post tomorrow saying they are sticking to it so people can just leave and not bother wasting their time.
A post would take 30 seconds.

What do you mean make up my mind? Theres a challenge league already in the game for people who think trading makes the game too easy, im pointing that out.

No but fixing your gear makes all the bosses a complete joke. And its not even expensive to do that a few ex and you are set till maps.
We are just going in circles at this point. Trade and make the bosses sigbificantly easier, or play ssf and enjoy the challenge.

You can safely presume that this is their intent, yes. They may tweak the formula some, but I tremendously doubt they're going to make gigantic paradigm-shift swings in their decisionmaking in order to cut all enemy health by 98%, increase player damage by a thousand percent, and increase loot drops by ten thousand percent whilst reintroducing all the festering bloat and anti-game mechanic that poE1 is plagued with.
Like it or not, Path 2 is going to be a slower game with less loot that emphasizes combat tactics and mastery as much as it emphasizes buildcraft. If that is not to your taste? I am sorry you spent the money on Early Access, and hopefully you will enjoy the new PoE1 league in February.

Slower more difficult and less loot was also their intent in PoE1 as well. Look where that ended up.
