The rewards are also beyond horrible. 15 hours of gameplay and zero uniques. A handful of rares. Getting a blue item and two scrolls of wisdom after brutal boss fights is a slap across the chin. No good.

The core mechanics, the sound, hitboxes, artstyle, its all great.
But this needs serious tuning. It's way too slow, too little loot, and waaay too hard for most people, especially in the first three acts.


The game is not even hard, that´s not the problem, with decent gear the game is decent, the problem is that it´s an unrewarding pile of trash, no currency and no arres drop, no dopamine rush, im on maps atm, was expecting it to be better, it´s the same, usually a full map clear nets me 1-2 rares wich ofc are trash and not even for my character, you dont feel progress, you dont feel like youre getting stronger, it´s a slog and anyone defending this crap is a whiteknight, i love GGG for all the fun PoE 1 gave me, but they effed up really hard, if this doesnt change really fast im out, and im 100% sure most people will, imagine going trough this every new league, nope not happening.

I think the core of the game is there but boy does it need changes.

What GGG has tried is to combine many genres to make poe 2, like darksouls and D2 as just two examples.

Sadly this has alienated over half the players, most people I know dont enjoy this.

We want difficult, but difficult should not be having to rerun a zone 8 times because all the monsters respawn when you die.

Starving for support gems that make you not deal enough damage or change your play style even in act 3.

No loot to get upgrades or currency to craft on more than 2 pieces of gear per act only for it to be crap.

Difficulty should come in late game when you make it difficult yourself, loot and Currency should be abundent.

Hope the game is fixed soon.

if you spent 10 minutes to research poe 2 you'd know exactly what to expect from the game. this is exactly what was promised by GGG and I hope they ignore all the feedback on these forums and reddit

If they ignore it they will have a small player base. The hype will die down in a week or so then reality will set in.
I get that it's early access, but it's not looking good with what we have now. The base of the game is there, but it needs a lot of revamping.

1) the spirit- This system needs to be deleted. Its complete shit in its current state. The mana reservation system was excellent in POE 1 and should have been a slam dunk to move to POE 2.

2) Skill system - This is hands down the WORST skill system I have ever seen. Classes are starving to level up gems because of RNG. Support skills are a freaking joke and, yet again, starving people and builds.

3) Build diversity - Because of the crap skill systems, classes are pigeonholed into play styles reducing the build diversity of the entire game. POE 1 did an amazing job of allowing people to be creative and allow a witch to be a totem build and be viable. IN point two, you can't do this (just an example and no idea if it even worked, but you get the point).

4) damage - Damage feels completely nonexistent. One mob dies easily and quickly, and then the same mob in the next fight takes 5min to kill for no reason. It could just be a bug, but overall, mob health vs damage needs to be rescaled.


Overall I am highly disappointed in the current state of POE 2. I expected so much more from GGG. I hope that GGG listens to the feed and makes some drastic changes ASAP.
So the loyal customers that paid all these years and made the company grow get to play the dated (graphics, animations etc) old game, while they release the eyecandy for a new imaginary playerbase? Ye no thank you, im out, if it doesnt get fixed fast ill quit both, lots of other games that want my money and my time and respect me more.

No they won't, you're the vocal minority and hopefully they will not listen to you. The fact that we've already seen many nerfs but zero buffs kinda proves this

You can love it, but the masses won’t play it as its gear towards a very select type of player from start to finish. Soul’s people won’t play it because they have souls’ games, ARPG players won’t play it because it’s not fast enough
