Please don't watter down the difficulty.
" +1 I don't even mind the scarce drops - in fact I like it - it brings me back to Diablo 2 times. The whole game has a D2 'aura' to it. Love it. People got their brains fried with PoE 1 speed & loot. They need to detox from it. It's perfectly fine, in fact preferable, that PoE 2 is different, since GGG plans to maintain both games anyway and those who don't like PoE 2 pace, can always go back to Poe 1 for the dopamine fix. I'd say I wouldn't mind harder bosses. Basic mobs difficulty is very largely fine, bosses could be made even more difficult, currently they're somewhat on the easier side of things.
Although naturally I concede to the point other people are making; bosses should at least give some reasonable reward, currently drops are pretty much on the "unrewarding" side of things. |

" I think making them even more harder in the early levels would scare away to many people....difficult vise they're perfect as they are for early game. And I'm not in endgame yet but I think they'll become way harder in maps, esp if you juice them and the fact that you have only 1 try to beat them. They love games that have no difficulty settings because they want to be the ones that play them and separate themselves from "the plebs"... They want to be the ones that spam "git gud" in chat and they want to be the ones that take over all the mainstream franchises because they need the spotlight... PoE2 is an abomination... because it's NOT an ARPG... it's a Dark Souls Wannabe and has less build diversity than Elden Ring which is ridiculous... In PoE2 there is only one build that is viable... full ranged damage... pick a theme (Lightning, Ice, Fire, Physical damage, whatever) and scale your damage as much as possible because even with full defenses bosses still one shot you cause this is not an ARPG, it's a Dark Souls wannabe... so just build as much damage as possible to take down the boss faster and minimize the number of times you need to dodge roll away from the one shot mechanic to minimize your chance of dying... The game is ABYSMAL as it is right now... it's a "dodge roll skill check" but it has zero "PoE Skill" since it's not made for people that want to theory craft and make different interesting builds... nope... just cookie cutter damage glass cannon build and full Dark Souls wannabe gameplay... PoE2 is BY FAR the worst ARPG on the market right now... even D4 has more build diversity at the moment for fuck's sake!!! I am also playing Last Epoch and holy shit it's more interesting cause I can do way more things in it... in PoE2 I have to just max my damage to be able to minimize the tediousness and NOTHING ELSE!!! |

This is NOT manageable... this is psychotic made by moronic devs that decided to only cater to the 1% of the most no-life players that want to play on Ruthless difficulty (yes, only 1% ever played Ruthless in PoE1) and alienate everyone else... but after lying to them about what the game would be of course cause they also needed long time fans to fork out those 100$ for the support packs, right? I'm on the too hard side of the fence... some people may dig this challenging stuff but I get plenty of that in my life and when I play a game I want it to be fun.
I was never good at PoE but the game was still fun and I could alt to yellow maps all I wanted without feeling like the game was punishing me for being at most an average player. Not PoE 2 though, this games just kicks my ass from the very beginning. I don't need random mobs to kill me to get to a boss that will then kill me repeatedly until I master its usually very boring 'trick'. I don't see why they felt like adding dodge and having it be used for every boss was creative... it's really not. My opinion, some will agree, some won't- welcome to life. |

The difficulty is fun and entertaining right now, playing HC is amazing experience. Feels like how the genre was always supposed to be like. Too bad we have way too many people from D3 - D4 and other games that cater to hyper casuals where everything can be completed by fingerless toddlers.
Anyone who comes here telling how they can do deathless Souls playthroughs but struggle here... what a bunch of liars. No competent souls vet would ever struggle here lmao. Or maybe selecting skill points is too difficult for them? People also are missing the easy mode built in by inserting respawn points all around so they can int and still progress. GGG don't cave in, please. I know you will but one can always hope, right? |
