Please don't watter down the difficulty.

Yes some skills/classs need just a little bit balance to perform better but overall it's a loveletter to us oldschool gamer and ARPG player who can handle a little bit of a challange.

Coming from a time where you were able to fall down a rope in Tomb Raider f.e. having challanging fights in a game is so refreshing in the middle of all the trivial games where you can beat all content simply by rolling your head over the keyboard.

I get it that the TikTok generation has no patience and want to faceroll all content 1 hour into the new league, but we already have enough games out there to fullfill theyr desires to beat everyting with 0 effort.

Thanks GGG for the amazing game, this one has the potential to become the best ARPG of all time.

Only a POE3 with all the features of POE2 + the graphics & fight system of a god of war could beat it, but thats it. ^^

What class are you playing?
Mercenary? Ranger?
Bow or crossbow?

Because those builds don't have any difficulty. It's a breeze, they 1-shot or 2-shot most mobs.
+1 I'm with the OP.. I'm only at the Manor so far, but the difficulty seems spot on... engaging, things to cause us to learn and grow, but tackable the first time without undue stress.

Can I request that if people think its fine, they tell what class they are playing. I think there are some classes that make the game significantly easier than others.

WASD vs Mouse would be nice too as I suspect that some combinations of WASD + Certain classes are having a much easier time.
I'm done buying anything until we get some clarity on the future of POE1 and POE2 and I know GGG plans to spend effort on a game I want to play.

Tell us if POE1 still has your top tier support or if POE2 will get a mode for more casual play.
agreed, this feels perfectly balanced with some stuff a little easy and bosses and packs not so easy imo. loving this game so far
I'm playing a sorc and was finding the game hard'ish but manageable. I just got to the mansion and have had over 30 deaths to the werewolf boss. Just seems impossible, up until this boss I have only died twice.

Had to take an hour off to get rid of the frustration, came back and i'm now on my sixth death :(
Playing WASD btw
What people have been saying before, i'm playing a witch using bleed, fire.

I hit like a noodle, every hit on act1 boss does about 1% or less. It's a matter of literally dodging every skill cause we can get 1shot esp after being slowed. (420hp with ES).

Better yet, since we do barely any dmg beyond Frostbomb there is just a pray that you can dodge most mechanics.

I got the boss to 10% phase 2 (blood sickles got me after a jump that i managed to just not time perfectly).

I had less challenge with Minerva in Elden Ring than this boss (no im really not joking.)

So i get that some classes can roflstomp the boss, but i can tell you right now difficulty on this boss comes from no damage. (that 10% ph2 try, took me about 6 minutes...)

At this point im just gonna reroll class, as much as i wanna play bloodwitch id rather just roflstomp like everyone else that doesn't want to reduce the difficulty.
I'm getting the feeling that much of the difficulty is determined by how lucky your drops are.

Playing Mercenary with crossbow and I almost never 1 or 2 shot anything as referenced by someone above.

Playing M&K movement as I couldn't get used to WASD due to thousands of hours in POE1, it didn't feel natural.

Difficulty heavily varies between players based on luck, class and skills used. I play a summoner witch. My skeletons have no base defence and seem to get 100% AoE damage so they die on half of the packs and bosses simply wipe them out in single hits. Most of my army are temporary minions that have such short durations that they require recasting after every 1-2 packs. Boss fights are 75% rolling around either to evade the bosses insane attack spam or to wait for my permanent minions to respawn. The temporary ones require corpses and most boss fights dont have any corpses at all. So i even have skills that dont work in boss fights. Thats more than a "little" balancing. i would also hardly call it a loveletter. Its just tedious.

Well, if they wont change the difficulty i hope you will enjoy the game with the 30 other people who love Dark Souls in Action RPG. Everyone else will be gone, along with any money they would spend.

Elden Ring was a bestseller so that is pretty bad argument and ofc sad view for big corporations producing minimum effort cash grabs. This shows how many people are sick of watered down games these days.

Elden Ring is a single purchase game that can be counted as mostly single player. every single hard core MMO or online service ever brought to live failed because there is not enough audience to make the money needed to maintain it. On top of that i also doubt that the typical Elden Ring/Souls player would like PoE2 to begin with.

The peopulation of POE2 will be HIGHER than the one of POE1...
I hope they dont cater to the cry babies, main thing I stop playing ARPG is because there is actually no difficulty
