POE2 feels like you guys took all the complaints of POE1 and turned those into the core concepts

I am loving the game (mostly) but you do have some very valid comments:
1 shot mechanics should not exist, they defeat the point of skills and ruin HC in my opinion.
Melee feels really really bad in the first few levels (I have not progressed further on melee).
The dodging does get a bit much at times.

An extra opinion of mine:
There are just way too many boss fights. Bosses should be key epic battles that happen infrequently not 1 per zone or every 15 minutes of game time. That just kills the excitement of getting to and encountering a boss.

Otherwise I like most of the changes and the move to slower, tougher gameplay with less loot. To me it overall feels like POE1 did in early beta when it was pretty punishing. I also feel it is definitely the best new ARPG I have played in years (and I have tried many).

Idk what class are you playing but I came back (out of sheer stubbornness), and broke through to act 3. Did sanctum at levels 22 and 28 with pure caster ice sorceress. So far no total blocks in act 3, waiting for the comet to unlock.

What carried me so far was:
- Freeze shards from staff with unleash and controlled destruction (+3 to cold spells staff from vendor)
- Frost bomb with expanse and cascade
- Hypotermia

Passive tree is into ES and cold penetration, and I never died on bosses more than once since getting an ascendancy in act 2. In fact ES recharges between boss attacks so rarely using life flask at all.

Act 3 is full of chaos damage though, so things will get worse.

A lot of ppl come flaming that people who struggle and don't find game fun are bad at the game... Well maybe they are bad at the game but i think they should still be able to enjoy it somewhat. Campaign doesnt have to be such a massive long oppressive struggle, well unless you are playing one of the OP AF skills... This is what people are complaining about that they come into the game to play it like they want and they cant because they get as**aped by white mobs that bodyblock, stunlock you and for some reason dont have a problem with oppressive slowness but have like 300% movement speed buff.

Its the same BS like in POE1 and why i never got any of my friends to get to the good parts of the game.

If u say casuals should go play something else bla bla, well they will, and POE will be worse for it.

BTW and I am saying this while I am enjoying the game, its just that I cant see myself doing the campaign again more then 1-2 times with other chars really and then this game will be sitting on the shelf prob for a few years while I go enjoy poe1 once more.

Not upgrading 1 feels sooooo bad now. I still want HUGE changes in 1 and...we'll see over the holidays but I do not have poe 2 fever.

For now its a BIG no for me.

- most classes are way to weak or slow
- boss mechanics aoe attacks goes through pilars etc
- a lot 1 shot mechanics oh what a fun
- GGG PoE2 will be more for casuals also......its not
- Its just an up smucked PoE1 (enhaced edition).
- a lot looks the same as in PoE1
- even the mobs you fight are 80% the same.
- controller support sucks big time even when a mob is highlighted your char start a lot of time shooting in the direction you walked. You need to manual aim but then how you gonna push buttons?

I am very dissapointed.

- clearing map gives you 2 pieces of gold.
- 1990s inventory management. There is extremely bad.
- overpriced items in npc shops
- bosses that kills you in 1 to 2 hits.
- portal to town will disappear after a few minutes, resetting maps.
- missing basic minionmancer class (witch is not it.) <-- this is -not- a tech limitation.
- Some items in in-game shop is not compatible with game.... what the...

One cannot help but wonder how such a lust for loot can affect a persons mind. Although these exiles appear to be our salvation, it would not take much for them to turn on us as easily as they fight gods and demons.

lvl 37 now, 654 life, 811 ES on trash gear. As predicted act 3 became harder with chaos damage, but new frost wall blocks all this crap, as well as proxy damaging bosses. Large enemies break wall segments on contact, damaging and freezing themselves. Until you accidentally block yourself and get killed without phasing:)

After act 1 majority of my deaths were not to bosses, but to being body blocked by some crap mobs next to a wall or some tree. When exp penalty kicks in, this will become rant topic. a few white melee apes can do what epic boss cannot and drain exp.
A bit of a boost for curency drops would be vastly helpful!
