POE2 feels like you guys took all the complaints of POE1 and turned those into the core concepts
" They Should've called it Souls of Exile and people wouldn't be as pissed, is my guess. I'm unfortunately part of those that feel like we got strung along with ideas and mechanics that are badly implemented, including those in the the comment from OP. This game is in no way easier to new players. Melee sucks since 95% of what you do is dodge around, trying to not get 1-2 shot, hoping your only health potion lasts the whole fight. 12 hours in my Monk build, 0 rare, blue mobs that don't drop ANY loot, Vendors scrap that costs so much gold vs what you gather, Basically, a less fun version of ruthless. Also whats the point of having a character info page if you have to navigate to other menus to get Character info?? Crit chance %? Gotta go into the skill page to see actual stats?! If you give me less than you used to, you're going the wrong direction. I'm not here for ruthless, i'm here for loot pinata shitting out tons of currency. Games alright, honestly i think POE 1 is significantly better. I'm all about the zoom. Going this slow actually offends me, like it's making my blood pressure skyrocket, i'm getting actually angry at how slow and painful this movement is, it's making me wanna punch a wall out. My favorite character was a power charge assassin when power charge gave assassin movement speed per charge. I'm the zoomiest player of all, and if maps take longer than 30 seconds, i'm PISSED. So this game can be fun but the pace actually makes me angry. Like angry angry. Not annoyed. Not let down. Like punch the wall out angry. I play ARPG's to zoom. It's what they are for. As far as i'm concerned, POE 2 is not really an ARPG. It's too slow and boring for that, it could be 2-3x faster overall honestly. |

Couldn't agree more. PoE 2 basically does not exist at this point. GGG did a bait and switch, told us we were getting PoE 2, and then gave us some bizarre mix of Diablo 4 and Dark Souls. At least PoE 1 still exists, but I cannot help but feel some sort of resentment towards GGG. I never expected that PoE 2, of all things, would be my biggest gaming disappointment of 2024.

i try to play warrior and can't feel hack and slash arpg, game Poe2 is like more souls(hybrid). all other things like crafting, density real downgrade |

That's it, I give up. Act 2 brings even bigger tedium. Nothing can really kill me, but I also can barely damage bosses and rares, leading to 15-20 min fights if rare has a healing or invulnerability aura. And don't see any tools in sight to remedy that. No items, not a lot of skill gems to choose from, not enough passive points to wind up any semblance of a build.
Returning to old areas to farm new skill gems makes mobs give 1 exp per kill due to me being overleveled at this point. Farming 1 latest area... no thanks. Cannot even have an eyecandy while grinding it, mtx not implemented. Campaign doesn't have a lot of locations, maybe GGG did those tanky mobs on purpose to artificially stretch the story. Condolences to all who paid $30 to play this, see you in 6 months or after GGG reduces monster health by 3 times here:) |

This is why when I saw movement speed on boots a year ago I made a topic about it. Movement should not be a gear stat. " True so far. ---------------- Last thing I want is the zoomer one tap screen clear of PoE1. Combat doesn't feel too difficult but it does feel engaging. I take note of the enemies I'm fighting like old PoE1 and it's fun. There's potentially class balance issues. I wouldn't kick the game as a whole for it though. " While this was the real reason for many ppl incl. me months ago it is the complete opposite right now. Seeing what POE2 has become I'm really happy that it is a seperate game now. I really hope (and believe) that POE2 will be successful and find a giant audience but there is nothing wrong with saying: "Hey, it's not what I like, I'll stick to POE1." I don't even get why so many POE2 players are so butthurt just because not every single POE1 player is praising POE2.
