List of POE1 complaints that are the main features of POE2
POE1 - Flasks don't get enough charges
POE2 - Flasks REALLY don't get charges now and you only get 2
POE1 - Bosses have too many 1 shot mechanics
POE2 - Bosses still have insane dmg AND they reset the fight if you die
POE1 - Campaign is too slow
POE2 - Campaign is WAY slower
POE1 - Melee feels very bad because its slow and relies on warcries
POE2 - Melee is even slower and still relies on warcries
POE1 - Early game mobs are too hard and punishing for new players
POE2 - Early game is even MORE hard now and MORE punishing
POE1 - Rare items don't feel like they are worth ID'ing
POE2 - Almost no rares drops and they still don't feel worth ID'ing
POE1 - Please don't make the game like ruthless
POE2 - Basically is ruthless
POE1 - Don't make me spam movement skills non-stop during bosses
POE2 - Every boss is built around boss skills that can only be escaped via a dodge roll and you basically have to use it or die
POE1 - Crafting isn't deterministic enough
POE2 - Crafting is even LESS deterministic and no crafting bench
----------------
I could go on and on.....and I'm not even joking about these...
But it seems like all of the core complaints from POE1 were somehow taken as feedback for how POE2 should be designed
POE2 feels nothing like POE1, I know what game it feels like
It feels like D4...
and somehow feels worse than D4...
and I don't care for D4 at all...
I am so glad POE1 was not turned into this, thank you for whoever allowed us to keep POE1 because that will be the only POE for me
That's a funny way to look at it... 100% true XD

were playing a console port on pc now, rip
What a ridiculous statement.
From a technical point of view he is 100% spot on. Its literally the same game engine with tons of poe1 stuff still in.

I suspect Tencent denied them from straight up transforming POE1 into POE2 and this caused CW to rage quit silent. You don't need to have the business experience of a huge conglomerate to understand that such a transformation could easily lead to unmanageable legal issues.

The gameplay is so tedious and slow it takes decades for earthquake to pop or sunder to swing, the mechanics are broken random trash mobs are doing absurd amounts of damage just by some random broken ground effect, loot is disgustingly boring , player trading interaction is nearly non existing people are relisting items 10x over and over again.
Maps during leveling and all that desire to create slower gameplay you just made POE 2 completely boring dull and tedious. Trials are a complete and utter joke you people have some serious compensation issues with crap league mechanics.
The idea of maps is nice, graphics are nice, music is ok gameplay experience is complete and utter boredom and this game feels I do not wanna play it ever again

Yeah, I stopped reading after the first line lol. No one had that complaint. They nerfed flask charge gain rate by 75% and people barely noticed sometime around Harvest league.

You just contradicted yourself. If it's the same engine as POE 1 then how is it also a console port? D4 players really expose themselves here lol

I don't get people still comparing gameplay of Poe 1 to Poe 2. It's basically a different game with new movement, attack. Poe 1 was just way too easy and boring.
And the fact that new Poe players had much less problems with game difficulty than actuall Poe 1 players says alot. You just want the game to be easy I get it.
I played Poe 1 since 2013 and I would say it was way harder than Poe 2 right now. It's about learning and it feels like some of players are just stuck in power creep of Poe 1 one click builds that destroy everything and melt bosses in 1 sec
Poe 2 is basically only ARPG now that you need to think about while playing. Some people just don't want to think at all I guess

+1 to OP. I gave up... Oneshot mechanics should not exist at all when you need to run miles and miles to the place of your death. Again, again, and again, fricking again... I've played from open POE1 beta but now I feel myself just tired of all this stuff, seems early access is over for me.
POE2 is not POE, it is Diablo Souls :(

Why are people comparing PoE2 to PoE1? BECAUSE THEY'RE BOTH PATH OF EXILE. /facepalm
The second iteration on the game should not take existing mechanics from the original and then make them worse.
The second iteration on the game should not take existing design philosophies from the original and then make them worse.
This is not a complicated concept. The second game should not ignore the lessons learned from the first game, and it should certainly not go in the opposite direction.
How are you confused by this? It's only logical that people would compare the two products of the same name by the same company, particularly when they compare every ARPG to the various Diablo games, and compare every Diablo game to PoE.
