I hope they do offer a preload, because being gatekept because of worries of datamining would be disappointing. Also, complaining as people have said, is a way to let the devs know we arent happy about something and maybe they will change course. I took Friday off because of what was being said, with what was said on the FAQ and also that Xbox had a preload, why wouldnt PC. It would be a shame to lose more PTO days because of what was implied or downright said.

Like someone said, datamine, couldnt care less about. Release the preload 24 hours before, how much datamine is going to be released before launch? We are thinking logically, we dont want to be left behind and not experience the launch like all other people.
people are rationalizing this by datamining?? lol teh client is already out of GGGs hands. they are doing it to promote streamers so they get more exposure about their game, i thought this was pretty obvious. same goes for the drama with the foxtrot guy- bad publicity is still publicity. i think ppl forgot that GGG dev team is in a different building than their marketing team lol
Lets be honest, a lot of people wont be worried about it because it wont affect them and also it may lighten the load on the servers. Also, a few are just saying we are whiners. We all want the hype of a new release and be able to experience the newness at the same time, and also want to play it as soon as possible.

Does this apply for steam as well? From what im getting from it, it doesnt. So case isnt closed, is it? If im wrong, let me know how.

Updates for other platforms:
Xbox - pre-download is already available. There will likely be updates on launch.
PlayStation - Founder's packs should go live 24 hours before Early Access starts. Purchasing one of these packs should allow for pre-download on PS5.
