WDYM NO PRELOAD ?

Having no-preload before EA launch completely sucks for me (this is not confirmed though).

With my internet speed to download PoE 2 EA (100GB++) will take like 24h or more. I am sure there are more ppl like me that have slow internet.

The main reason the Dev stated of not having pre-downloadable client is because of "data-mining".

Hear me out! I don't Care about Data-Mining. Mather of fact i don't even watch content that show major spoilers (i have seen some footage for Act I and thats about it). I dont want my first playthrough to be spoiled.

I just want to pre-download the game (at least 2 days before 6th) so I will be in 50k LOGIN que like everyone else ...

A lot of people have been waiting for the game for many years, so yes, a few extra hours that you have to spend downloading it can be annoying

If you are running through steam and your at work, why not just download it with the steam app while at work? I do it all the time.

If there is no preload period, it would suck, yeah. But I've been waiting since I bought in. Another day, is inconvenient but not life altering. Maybe I'll just download it overnight and get a full Saturday play (Zog willing and the servers don't crash).

the economy in Path of Exile 1 is largely solved. The Economy People know what most things are worth, there's no real surprises.

The economy in PoE2 is going to be a chaos vortex of insanity. Nobody will know what the value of anything is, or what the "standard" trade currencies are, or any of that. A single day's lost ground will not lock you out of the economy in PoE2. That, at least, isn't something you'll need to be concerned over.

As a resident of a poor internet country, I will be pretty sad if there is no preload. I always enjoy being apart of the early flood and seeing the 'first player to x' messages.

My download will take around 5 hours, by that time ben will have cleared the whole campaign and the datamining will be rampant by then anyway.

Please allow at least a 2-6 hour preload.

Its stated clearly in the FAQ (and this is how they went public selling Keys) that it will be available before launch.

Any "shitstorm" should not be generated before that and no, I dont have a Gigachat internet.

Still tho it was just an interview. He was not clear around that topic and in my personal opinion, since its advertised that we can download it earlier, i would rather just wait before getting the forks.

12h should be sufficient

Glad I didn't downgrade my fiber to 100mbs to save 1 euro/month. Estimated download time 15 minutes :D

no there wont, they just said it on the ziz stream that there wont be one. 12hours is already helping id say 80% of the people with slow internet yet we dont get any. Steam has an encrypted system that helps dealing with this yet ggg doesnt want to use it but uses the xbox system...

It isnt over dramatizing, its feeling left out for the launch hype. I play with a group of friends, and i will feel left behind and get so much info instead of sharing the experience. Also, Xbox got a preload why not PC? Like someone said, datamine, couldnt care less about. Release the preload 24 hours before, how much datamine is going to be released before launch? We are thinking logically, we dont want to be left behind and not experience the launch like all other people.
