This game has an elite rich and a very vast poor population (Currency system is broken)

I'd have to do some serious digging to find the posts about that. I'll see if I can find it. It was some time ago, so that might have been with the party bonus included. Even then, the core issue that was being raised was that even a minor increase in "global" orb drop rate would be massively inflated by party IIQ, map IIQ and individual IIQ.
Edit: Finding that post could take a while. A lot of WTB/WTS IIQ Gear clogging up search results. |

Maps.....
If you're talking 250% + say 100% + 100% from gear. Yeah, easy stuff there. |

" YES! Because we are fair, social Beings, and all equal, aren´t we? Someone plays more, trades more? Well, then he can easily afford giving something to the poor. And luck shouldn´t be owned by a few - share the luck! sounds fair, huh? the more space there is within a game for hackers, botters, RMT, etc. the less room there is for legitimate players. this statement got me permabanned from the D3 forums, and when I started playing this game I sure thought I'd never express it here but...I stopped playing this game a month ago. I think controlling creative influence has been lost or misdirected.

There has to be a problem with the RNG... It should not be possible a friend with his first char until lvl 20 to have 3 exalted dropped!!! With the few hundred(a thousand?) players currently in Hardcore, such luck should not be statistically possible... I've gotten one exa in the alpha, in my early levels, when I didn't know how rare and valuable it was. With the 15 days playtime on my current char, I've seen one divine and no exa...
There should be exa reward when you kill Piety mercy :)))) P.S.: Game is fun, and I'm having a blast so far |

I was fortunate to have an Exalt drop for one of my characters in Normal Act 1. After leveling a Marauder and Witch into Act 3, I decided to trade the Exalt for 32 Chaos orbs. That bankrolled enough trades for low-level Uniques and Gems to equip both of my characters for Act 3.
Based on that experience, I think GGG would do well to consider rewarding each character with a high-level orb at the completion of Act 2 in each of the three difficulty levels: Normal Act 2: one GCP Cruel Act 2: one Divine Orb Merciless Act 2: one Exalted Orb This would stimulate the trade economy right at the points where players are highly motivated to upgrade their equipment. The increased circulation of high level orbs would encourage end-gamers to use up more of the orbs for their intended crafting purposes, providing an item-sink that would keep orb values high. And the lengthy gameplay required to complete Act 2 would prevent botters from exploiting the system for cheap profits. |

I think people level up to Cruel A2 in a day or two. Compare this to the fact that I never saw a Divine, or Exalt on my 83 char, ever.
You could bet I'd make alts daily to get those Divines... until they will devalue. Maybe even the Exalts from Merciless would be more recommended to play for, instead of focusing on a high level char and hope for currency drops, which we know how often happen... So with the currency drop rates we have now, I think this system would be exploited to hell and back :) placeholder for creative sig Last edited by Undon3#5633 on Apr 25, 2013, 5:51:05 AM

" no....Most people can complete normal in 3-5 hours. Many can get to maps in 20-24. Even if this was difficult to bot, it would be pretty easy for one person to rush 6 accounts through normal on repeat. Finished 17th in Rampage - Peaked at 11th
Finished 18th in Torment/Bloodline 1mo Race - peaked at 9th Null's Inclination Build 2.1.0 - https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1559063 Summon Skeleton 1.3 - https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1219856 |
