What is the point of +% Light Radius and Reduced Attribute Requirements!?

These affixes make me sad. I was beginning to think this game was becoming much more than just a Diablo clone until these pointless properties were introduced. Unless someone can assure me these properties are useful, I would like to start a petition to have them removed. Let's hear what people have to say!

easy

to lower value of exalts

they shoujld add the following

% to increase player size 1-3%

% to cause bleed 1-3%

^ to cause shock 1-3%

just keep adding suffixes and exalts will drop

make it 1/10000 chance to get a good exalt

The rest of the 'end-game' content will be available along with a heap of new stuff when the game launches in a few months time. From what I've seen it's going to be awesome. - Michael_GGG
Because people didn't grumble enough about thorns.

Live and learn.
Casually casual.

One interesting thing I noticed about the reduce attribute requirements mod is that it seems to apply to any gems socketed in the item as well.
This could be nice for being able to use those "off spec" gems. Though it can be kind of hard (unreliable) to rely on this mod for using your skills.

as if the Overpowered Shavrones low life users had any problem with light radius

hell even when u implement a dungeon with no light in it my arrows will scout

its just one more reason to not play melee
We DEFINITLY must have Fog of War, otherwise lightradius blows !

And, not to mention default light radius should be reduced a lot to revalue the mod itself.

It doesn't.

The stat requirement for the gem on the item example [xx int (gem)] changes to blue, but doesn't change as in the number.
Casually casual.

It is actually another method to fictitiously extend the life of the game for sure. It is a sure sign of a scared development team when adding even more RNG to their already 100% RNG based systems.

A non-scared team who genuinely believes their end game is max fun to play wouldn't be scared if everyone had BIS gear... as they would know their end game is that much fun to not have to hide behind RNG as heavy (and under) handedly as they are.

They already stated they need this game to last 10 years for them - well - lol - here you go! Just another little trick to try to fictitiously extend the life just like I'm saying.

Yeah, the game's population has clearly dropped a fairly significant amount.

The population dropped cause there is no accessable endgame content. Noone grinds lvl 66 maps to get 0,5% xp on ~ lvl 85 and dont get map drops of any higher level to just die occassionally and lose 15% xp and about 30 maps of playtime what is several hours.

So wait a second....

GGG adds an entire set of affixes that are useless to every single build in the game except a few VERY NICHE builds that require a SPECIFIC chest piece (Shavronnes) that is known for being one of the more expensive uniques in the game, and is being used for one the most expensive builds in the game that is also one of the most powerful ones.

And now, an entire set of affixes is added to MOST ITEMS, just to help a few very niche builds?

Not only that, this affix that is designed to help low life builds (which are again, rare) is a COMMON affix.

I can understand the motive here, to help a certain build...

But the build is rare, and expensive.

Make the affix rare, as well. If it's something that is useful to a certain build, they are going to go for that affix whether it is a common affix or a rare affix.

In summary:
Adding a COMMON affix to assist RARE builds is beyond strange and smells like an excuse.

I'm fairly convinced this is simply an excuse to make it more difficult to roll items for the vast majority of players. Nothing more.

If it was really intended to help low life builds, the affix would be RARE, as only a tiny percentage of the wealthiest players in the game run those types of builds.

I have to agree. For the time being, I will not be wasting any more orbs. I'm sure this is the case for many of us.

I must be the only person who finds reduced attribute requirements actually somewhat useful, especially for leveling gear.
