What is the point of +% Light Radius and Reduced Attribute Requirements!?

It is actually another method to fictitiously extend the life of the game for sure. It is a sure sign of a scared development team when adding even more RNG to their already 100% RNG based systems.

A non-scared team who genuinely believes their end game is max fun to play wouldn't be scared if everyone had BIS gear... as they would know their end game is that much fun to not have to hide behind RNG as heavy (and under) handedly as they are.

They already stated they need this game to last 10 years for them - well - lol - here you go! Just another little trick to try to fictitiously extend the life just like I'm saying.

It does feel a bit more... D3'ish with these new mods. I mean, why should I care about light radius on a weapon when I'm not in some dungeon or cave? And even then, its not as if I am hurting for light w/ all the Spork Totem, Freeze Pulse, Lightning Arrow, and EK builds out there.
GGG listens to its fans!!! Thank you!

These affixes make me sad. I was beginning to think this game was becoming much more than just a Diablo clone until these pointless properties were introduced. Unless someone can assure me these properties are useful, I would like to start a petition to have them removed. Let's hear what people have to say!

Useful for low life build.

No point.

If they wanted to bring some D2 affixes, I would like to see something like "cannot be frozen" or "rest in peace". At least useful

I love GGG and what they do, but I hate to see what they are doing atm. I feel like they are making the same mistake Square-Enix did back with FFXI (the MMO). They spent YEARS ignoring their playerbase, the requests and comments by the players, they answered questions with very cryptic statements, etc etc etc.

I dont want to see GGG go down this road, and cause what happened to FFXI to happen to this game.
And if you close your eyes, does it feel like your exalt almost hit this time~
Players who like low life builds were complaining for a long time about the inability to see anything in caves and dungeons. GGG responded to these complaints by adding the light radius mods.

I would imagine that the reduced attribute reqs are there to help off class builds, such as bow templars who would otherwise find it difficult to meet the stat reqs for weapons. I think this is actually slightly unnecessary, but I can still see it being useful in some circumstances.

Not every change that you don't understand is an attempt by GGG to specifically screw you over.

As someone who runs a low life build, I can say the light radius mods do absolutely nothing to help the problem.

This.

And GGG knows this very well. Unless they dont test things before implementing. Its possible honestly.
I thought the names were pretty self explanatory. The +% light radius makes the light aura around your character larger, thus making it easier to see. The reduced attribute requirement lowers the requirement of items.
I hope this has cleared it up for you!
