Divine Font random gems, very unhappy

Well I'm about to hit 92 and I've found 6 4th lab keys thus far, got the extra craft darkshrine a few times in those runs too. 2-3 crafts per run. Still have yet to see the "transfigure version" craft. 92. And people defend this.

Meaningless. If you REALLY wanted to target-farm lab entries, you can get hundreds with minimal investment PLUS you can get raised invites. There is atlas speccing available, legion rewards, sextants, etc. The fact that you are lvl 92 and have only found 6 of them is a YOU issue, not a game issue lol.

And beyond that...6 is not enough of a sample size to prove or disprove anything that has been said in this thread.
You don't have to transform your gem. Click on the X if any of the options you desire don't land. Also you don't want to gamble with the gem you are using while lvling. Buy more than 1 and level it in the second weapon set or use whatever same color gem skill gem you may find on the way).

Before maps:
Spoiler
You basically can spam normal lab(has super easy basic layout) and check if one of the 3 gems lands on the one you want. If it doesn't you click the x and go run a new lab. Sure it would take you some runs but if you do merc lab you can sometimes get the option to upgrade the gem of same type wich only is limited by the amount of transfo-gems that gem has. In those cases it becomes a 50/50 if the gem has 2 outcomes and 100% if it has 1. This option is however not possible to cancel so be aware when picking that. The first option is 100% guaranteed in any lab and thus the logical/safest way get it for SSF

Extra tip a little later when you first enter maps:
Spoiler
If you use green gem. It is super easy to farm 20% mirror arrow gem divination card (same for the skeleton blue or any 20% outcome gem card really). Then you do normal lab and transform them into 20% versions of the gem you want then manually level them up or run labs to add xp. OR you could just use the normal gems and repeat labs for minimum 4% qual per run in merc lab (2% min in normal).

This way you can easily get the gem you want both at level and 20% qual. You don't really have to gamble for lvl 21 gems until the very end game unless the gem has insane gem levling scaling. Yes it sucks a bit that you have to run lab but it is far easier and faster than heist was for alt quals.
7th run finally got the "transfigure version" craft! So for me it was a 6.25% chance of getting the craft at uber lab, and found it 0 times out of 25+ merc labs.

With roughly 75 blue gems in the pool, 3 options per random craft, the random gem option is a 4% craft chance at getting a specific blue.

Ridiculous odds all around for a system that "isn't meant to be ultra taxing or time consuming to get the gem you want". https://youtu.be/hfNrSM9J7HQ?si=gQjIY5uTjFuUMifL&t=4020

I hope to see the system updated prior to the next league :sob:
Oh just wait till next league, where they introduce even more random gems and lower the odds even further!

Have been grinding lab for a while now without success for the gems I want. Wheee.... so much fun :|

Might go do my taxes now, that seems like a lot more fun than facing down the lab yet again.

Pure suffering. I'm never doing that again.

I was extremely excited to try out the transfigured gems. I was particularly interested in the Divine Ire and Crackling Lance off-shoots. Imagine my horror when I put in a crackling lance gem and I get 3 options, none of which are crackling lance.

The random of the same color is only one of the divine font options for getting transfigured gems. One of the options, which I know for a fact is available at least as early as merciless labyrinth because I used it myself in merc lab, allows you to turn a specific skill gem into one of its transfigured variants (the skill I tried only had one transfigured variant, so it may be random which variant you get if the skill has more than one transfigured option, or you may be able to pick, I don't know).

You could also just buy the gem you want off another player.

If I wanted to grind I'd play something different.

LOL
Fairgraves was a slave trafficker specialized in the kidnapping and transport of children. He was not "a good man".

Recently I converted my 21/20 carrion golem to 21/20 carrion golem of hordes (which I needed for build) with a single lvl 75 lab run. Must be the luck of the century, lol. In standard this gem now costs 15-20 div, assuming they are on market at all.
buy it for 10c or less then
A part of the problem is that lab is unrewarding even with transfigured gems. Moving the good drops into the troves makes lab take too long. And they have such a low low low low low low low drop rate.
The current system is orders of magnitude less RNG than the old system. Even if they doubled the number of gems it will be less RNG.

Also, I am totally not biased. I love running the lab and also got Spark of the Nova on my normal lab run on my first character this league, but regardless of that I think the new system is mostly great.

I might be the only person in the game who will miss the Glove enchants, though.
