Thats a good point actually. They did say "thousands" of permutations if I remember the trailer video right. Being able to target something would be impossible if thats the case, even if its a couple hundred. Imagine the number of runs you'd have to do SSF. I think at minimum one of the options presented should always be an off-shoot of whatever gem you used at the font.

Well, here I am, 9 days down the tube trying to get the one Transfigured gem I'd like to try out. Of course, I'm not grinding the lab every single minute because it's boring AF so there's some mapping in between. I've seen more lab in the last two weeks than I've probably done in the last 5 years. Well done GG for half arsing yet another mechanic!

I'm surprised more people aren't speaking out about this. Then again I guess it really onluly affects thise of us that that tend to do a lot of experimentation. Paying 50-200 chaos for 1 gen gets expensive extremely fast when looking to try several builds out.

Honestly the RNG gem option is terrible. I have yet to get something interesting, let alone something I want.
But I haven't really target farmed anything. doesn't seem to be much of a point. Their are thousands of ways to implement this feature better and worse, hopefully GGG starts removing layers of randomness in the game because it is very grating at best. in my opinion, key features shouldn't be locked behind rng, whether it be gems, 6links, corruption implicits, enchants, whatever. Most players probably disagree with kind of sentiment though, but I feel it drives a lot of players away. |

I've used the same gem (detonate dead) three times in the divine font but I keep getting transformations only suitable for bows, or blades. Is this normal to have the same types?. Thanks for any help.

" The regular divine font craft gives you a random gem for the same colour. Merc and Uber lab can offer a craft that turns a non-transfigured gem into a transfigured version of the same gem, that's the one that can turn a DD gem into e.g. DD of Chaining right away. The chance of finding it is about 1:10 from my personal experience The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.
