10k armor, 3k health, max resists, Steelpoint two-shots me with his RoA
" It was actually a comment directly pursuant to the low life value; everything follows from there, it is not independent. In any case, if you want to make recommendations for how to play this scenario given the present constraints, by all means do. Just avoid the insults. " Well, I am ranged (and early on I assumed OP was ranged). I therefore don't close. Whenever I do this map I'm not particularly willing to die, as I am level 80. So I don't experiment. What I haven't tried is dropping the decoy at the neck of the room and then quicksilvering into the room. But that's what I would have to do to even have an option to curse. My solo strategy for this boss is to decoy and pray that gets the boss to come around the necked entrance. This is a bit iffy and time consuming. If that happens, I don't need a damage reduction curse, particularly, and I might even be off screen a bit to the south, just barely. " I generally agree with this comment. Decoy totem is this game's 'easy button' overall. It is perhaps one of the best mitigation tools in the game. --C Last edited by Courageous#0687 on Apr 20, 2013, 11:13:29 AM

" Don't worry. He 2-shot me and I had 60k armour (with a Granite & Molten Shell) and 2.4k HP. |

" No kidding? Do you know how armour works? IGN: NuzzyFipples

" Of course. It comes to a point where there is no build diversity except for HP-stacking. That is why Armour is close to useless ... Evasion kinda but ES is the only version of "defence" that provides indirect HP boosts. |
