The new battle pass is really gross

Agree. Shame. Pain. Boring. Tedious. Sour. Make an option to hide that filthy thing from screen.

They did add an option to hide the notification (right click). For anyone who is watching from afar.

So now it is a quest reward that reminds you that they sell a battle pass. And you can still not like that all you want of course, but that is factually what it is now, through any amount of hand wringing, pearl clutching, or soapbox pleading.

I have to admire the evil genius of putting it where all the skill points appear. My pavlovian reflex was kicking it up in high gear..

This type of thing is a means of "voluntary" subscription. They did it in destiny 2 which is when I checked out. I find it hilarious that people will actually pay money for in game "rewards", it doesn't even compute in my brain as the premise is soooo stupid.

it's inconvenient, but i wouldnt know what the battle pass, i dont even know how to access it without that icon

if you click on the anoying icon and then x-out the infoscreen, the icon disappears until you got the next challenge for the pass.

I am happy about immoral monetarization, 'cause the people who pay make it possible for me to play cashless a very cool game...and I don´t think PoE is that aggressive (yet), that it takes much advantage of the addictive personalities out there, unlike other games.
