The new battle pass is really gross

Paid Kirac pass TLDR = 300 points armour set.

Thats what you're missing if you dont buy it. Nothing more.

The Kirac pass is for people that dont want to farm too long (for a cosmetic MTX) and just be done with it quicker than the 40/40 players. It's good if you have more options.

Either play a little (completing atlas does takes a week max, or 3-4 days if you rush it) and pay 300 points for a cosmetic or dont pay and play longer and get 38+ challenges for the free armour set.
Masterpiece of 3.16 lore
"A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. She hands you a rusty-looking device called the Blood Crucible and urges you to implant it into your body."

Only usable with Ethanol Flasks

I have a feeling this is getting people ready for a paid track a few leagues from now with similar real items being rewarded. The free track gives you 3 scouting reports, the paid track gives you 6. Would they do it? I would have laughed at the idea of them offering a battlepass with progression items as a reward a couple years ago. Now my brow just furrows at the idea of blatant P2W being on the horizon.
Is anyone surprised?

GGG isn't your mate. Isnt your best friend in the whole wide world and never do anything bad.

It's a company that is out to make money as they employee people and have to grow as a business every year. So they need to make more and more money every year. So if numbers are a wee bit down they have to get the money from somewhere.

I'm thinking that the backlash would be way too severe, seems like a line they wouldn't cross.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

this is your battle pass now, you force a ui element on the screen that can not be removed until I go to vault and am forced to see the other reward I need to pay to have.
This is extremely gross, it's a layer of filth and grime PoE does not need.

The fact Chris is adamant about not changing the ui to convince the player, to centralize information in any way, but you have no problem chaging the ui when you want to sell me something, is so telling.

I would love to know what GGG would have said 10 years ago about adding new ui buttons only to monetize off your player base.

You guys should be ashamed.

lets be real here its a tencent decision and i guarantee its makes them money
and really its a company they are here to make money not some generous benefactor with infinite funds making this game out of the goodness of their hearts

that being said if they spent more time of the mechanic most would care less about it being implemented. We get some free stuff so that they can rub our nose is what isnt free.
im fine with that i dont have impulse control issues or fomo issues, but it being released alongside this sad and poorly optimized boring mechanic is a bit.... odd

Lets be real here. GGG isnt a good company like they used to be.
ProbablyGettingNerfed - L100 Occultist
Vinktarded - L100 Pathfinder
GoogleDiversityHire - L100 Necromancer

3.13 was the pinnacle of PoE. IVYS+1 Gang 4 Life.

There's no real issue here, you're just virtue signaling and probably redirecting your frustrations with the league.

Bias of what?

I would hazard a guess that not enough people were buying it. Since it was tuck away.

Just got to maps (working) and yeah it's pretty gross. Not unexpected though. Most companies get players used to certain things and then push them little by little. Then when people complain you get pushback within the player base defending in this case GGG.

I just threw away the stuff. Will throw away the rest. As in deleting the orbs and stuff you get.

No thank you.
