Really? You are comparing the Crucible trees to pots?

Without a doubt, yes.

Welp OK. I guess let's see how it goes.

Gotta say this thread turned out to be correct at least in terms of its title, I expected a few but there are a shitload of under the table nerfs here that they hope will slip by in the patch notes (and probably won't)

They still saying things like this too "The Unique Item drop chances for Catarina, Master of Undeath have been rebalanced."

GGG Just write the patch notes like mature adults, hiding it just makes the tantrum worse later on. I get it, you made diadem far rarer and bumped up the flask you already gutted so nobody uses it and the shield that i've never seen used in a build ever, and I tried :p

I should do an annotated patch notes and post it so regular players can see how much of this shit is intended to be an under the table shuffle to remove power lol

The only thing that worries me is having to use TFT (which i don'T) to buy/sell weapons with a good tree... I am gladly picking up a couple of extra items with potential, i would play a different game if i would feel otherwise...

I suspect you'll be able to use the trade site eventually. I don't love his comment about 3rd party being able to do it better through the API though. That didn't inspire confidence.

Hopefully the trade site dev has a lot of inspiration on how to present the data and it is easy to filter/find what you want.

cross fingers, hehe

That's not fair, you can't turn rares today into currency or uniques by leveling. Sure maybe on affixes but you couldn't combine them. This is a whole new thing.

And even if they did change to the identify process as you stated (which maybe), that still means you are picking up every applicable item, ID'ing them, and then checking the tree. If people think 8 second charging is bad at the forge, wait until they are spamming wisdom scrolls as they map!

You wont be spamming wisdom scrolls as you map. Its only id'ing one or two weapons per map.

Why? Why wouldn't you check the trees for valuable nodes? Like any weapon that had a rare unique associated with it? It will become that if you don't check every Siege axe, you are dumb.

Because I don't think the tree will be shown until you put it on the crucible.

Don't forget to write it with a little satire like:

-The Devouring Diadem still has a chance to drop.

-Chests are now more available for opening by casters.
-Molten Shell was buffed to enable more damage taken by the characters life pool.
-Defensive Auras no longer need to be stacked because you can't.
Thanks for all the fish!

This was discussed a number of posts ago, because that is indeed how it looked. Which is objectively awful.

Collecting items to take to quarry instances (or whatever preference), to check trees, sounds just terrible no matter how you look at it. If it launches that way, there will be understandable outcry, and how GGG didn't forsee that is mind-boggling.

Because you get 1 crucible per zone and more than 1 thing per zone you want to check. If you want to check every siege axe you can (well, up to a point - you can spend every crucible you find checking siege axes, you'll probably have an over-supply), and that will come with an opportunity cost.

This really isn't that hard and Nubatron is right to compare it to pots and identifying items. Do whatever makes you happiest. If your FOMO can't take the cost/benefit analysis to the point where its causing you anxiety instead of fun then that's not on the devs imo. The system seems fine.

This is another classic example of you can't please everyone. In scourge there was an uproar about how you could run map after map and not get a good krangle on your item, but you didn't see the result until after you put in the work. The takeaway is that people liked the idea of progressing an item's power, but it was too rng as to whether or not that power was actually waiting for them at the end of the grind.

Now they're showing us the potential result upfront and that's unacceptable too. I don't envy the devs.

Much like the policies in question, you have to pretend not to know things to make it make sense, so this checks out.

I'm sorry but designing weapon skill trees, with valuable nodes including powerful skills, currency items, and uniques, and then not expecting a player to wonder what's on a rare weapon that drops, is not great, like at all.

The beatings will continue until morale improves.

Arcane surges losses More spell damage
No changes to brands, not even a single patch note about them.
Sab nerfs to mine and trap builds (less throwing speed, less damage, but more cooldown reduction)
No mention if loot is being changed, its going to feel bad with this league mechanic not dropping additional loot.
exploding crystal mod now does CHAOS damage instead of elemental with a larger area/less damage (IE prepared to get shotgunned by chaos on death effects)
Posion minion sword nerfed in a big way (no minon damage anymore, no leech)

but don't worry link skills got a notable guys and spells can open chests.
