Those passive nodes will make a good base. It will be for good base or sellable weapons for currency.

Exactly so why would you only pickup one or two bases, and why would it matter which base they were?
Currency and Unique nodes can spawn on any base, and even if there was a base for a weapon your build wasn't currently using, a powerful skill could make you reroll, or at least trade said weapon.
How is skipping all that better in context? Or is it simply ignorance is bliss?

Yeah sure endgame will be amazing and build diversity insane in D4. It's not like you just watch a couple of well produced cinematics for 70 bucks and quit after getting bored within 2 weeks...

You sound like you have never played POE. Bases are the most important things in POE. Even in this case you want to look at items with the best possible base for you build.

Yes, and looking at those bases to see what passives are on them will get extremely time consuming and rather annoying after awhile.

How many bases do you think you'll be looking at per map? Per the content reveal stream there is 1 - thats ONE - 01 - zero one crucible per zone. You need to activate it to even see the tree on any given base. The trees are hidden (or not rolled at all more likely) until you do the encounter. See the freeze frame in the video:

You're not going to be turning off your filter and hovering 1000 bases per map. Nor 100, nor 10, nor even 1.
You're going to have 2 ways to play. Buy or reveal a good tree, then spend 10 to 100 maps leveling it up, creating a desirable buy-it-now item worth more than others on the market because it has a pre leveled good tree. This is essentially like leveling up an Awakened Gem or an Enlighten to raise its value. If you're doing this you cannot and will not be checking bases in the crucible, b/c you're using your one shot at the crucible per map to level up the item and fill out the tree.

Spend each map revealing the tree of ONE base and hope its good, if yes, spend future maps leveling it, or sell it as is and move on to the next reveal. This is essentially a high stakes Betrayal unveil.
Is checking a maximum of 1 base per map really tedious and fomo-inducing? If so I'm at a loss for words. Hope future leagues suit you better I guess?
