It's time for GGG to take back reigns of trade for the sake of the game
" I am replying to someone that they like loot grinder and rebuking that loot grinders are harder games. " Let them eat cake. Are you worried about the rich eating cake or the starving peasants having no bread? |

Oh, you were phrasing it super ambiguously.
" Restrictions: Under no circumstances, without the prior written approval of Grinding Gear Games, may you: h.Perform in-game services during your use of the Website, Materials or Services for any form of compensation outside of PoE. There's a fine distinction from letting the rich eat cake and letting the rich breach ToS. Ruthless should be [Removed by Support].

" And that's why I say that this game is dead, it started as a diablo 2 successor, and now we have the defenders of a realmonoy AH like worst era of D3, since there is no AH within the game itself. And worse, it's clear how the nerfs and changes have been pushing the game towards a meta where buying certain items literally lets you do everything, and not having those items holds you back. LITERALLY a pay wall of the worst type we see in P2W games Last edited by fredjesus1#3795 on Feb 21, 2023, 2:27:05 PM

" Never said I was. I only said I wasn't the "1%" - and never have perfect ("the best") items. Don't get me wrong, I understand perfectly well why people want an easy, less time consuming game. We all have games like that on our list. What I don't understand, is why people come to PoE, KNOWING it is a complex, time consuming and grindy game, just to try and change it, when there are plenty of other, less time consuming games on the market. I don't get why it's so bad that one game fills this role, while "all" the other games fill "your" role. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

Because, for the 100th time, i would pay for it. As is? Never. I paid for Ritual and Harvest. If they don't want to revert to it, that's their prerogative. They don't want to do it. I get it. I get the concept. But all the other "aspirational" and "carrot" bullshit? They are alredy forced to make expansions every 3 months because the majority doesn't buy into it. Hard agree. Trade is parasitic in any game that allows it. The trading in this game has already gotten away from what GGG had wanted it to be. Removal is the only way forward. It will cause backlash but lets be real, the game is that good people will still play, new players will still give it a try.

" Why can't everyone have cake but have to fight over cakes? Maybe this is a game that fight over cakes. |

" Everyone can have as much cake as they want. I'm not sure how many different types of cakes they serve at the large cake restaurants Steam, Epic, GoG or whatever, but I'm sure there are thousands to pick from. Instead, people are demanding that one particular, niche cake recipe should be changed to suit their needs. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

Oh, so now the defense switched from "we need aspirations to keep playing and min-maxing" to "it is what it is, don't change it". That's particularly bullshit when no other game comes close to PoE gameplay and the only issue being discussed is the addition of condiments, as opposed to removal of them. Cough*Ruthless*Cough. The only thing that would change is trade, and that i couldn't care less. I mean, even Dark Souls, the staple of actual difficult gameplay compromised, made Elden Ring accessible and look how popular it is. Elitism is just a bullshit, cancer nerd mentality that needs to be rooted out. Ruthless should be [Removed by Support]. Last edited by AdRonZh3Ro#4713 on Feb 21, 2023, 5:48:16 PM

" Are you trying to misunderstand? PoE has a line higher than most games when it comes to scarcity and time investment, which brings aspiration to keep playing for a lot of players. Most of the game for most players, a small part for the dedicated players. Why is it so bad that ONE game in the genre follows this formula? Must all games offer everything to everyone? Shouldn't there be room for more types of games in the genre? Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
