What is the point playing PoE?

I play this game for fun but its no longer fun
Need more brains, exile?
Those who reply with "fun" probably are addicted, have a target that requires a ton of grinding, playing because it's their job (streamers), play with friends and it's a social activity or have nothing better to do. Although fun is subjective I doubt anyone is playing just for fun.

I would be interested to hear what 'fun' PoE provides after many weeks of playing.

Are you honestly stating that others can't have fun playing this game because you don't? Is that your statement in summary?
Thanks for all the fish!

The same fun it provided before those "many weeks".

Now what's really interesting, is that some people need things like this explained. It's as if they've never heard of opinions.

What is the point of playing games? What is the point of spending your time on a hobby? Same answer: to have fun. Fun makes the brain release "feel good" chemicals. Fun is subjective, so everyone has their own version.

I always wondering. What is the point playing PoE when you already kill all pinnacle bosses and mixmaxed your build? I see streamers still playing, but the end with all content in the game, having 100+ divines and minmaxed their build. So whats the point to play afterwards?

The point of the game is to have fun. People have fun in many different ways. I like to make new builds and stress test them. Other people love crafting mirror level gear. Some people love Div card Gamba. Some people love mapping. Some people love Delv, etc.

Odd as it may sound, but the ton of grinding -is- fun for some. Like some folks find mindless fetchquests in MMOs theraputic in their simplicity and 'brain off' sorta gameplay, I'd no doubt see some PoE players finding easier mapping fun in the same way. Addict is an extremely strong term to use for this. That implies they couldn't stop, even while being miserable about it.

So it's a addiction cause you don't enjoy something like others?
Not everyone is in need of instant gratification in games, and they just have a fun time with more long term games.
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

And the reward for the most ignorant post on the PoE forums has a new contender. Grats.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
