What content is still worth doing lootwise?

If you have to resort to filters and stuff like that, you really dont understand the fundamental laws determining how a market functions.

Yeah tell that to Amazon or any other digital sales storefront, that their searching & filtering isnt effective...please. I think you dont understand how the market functions in a digital space.

In the PoE situation, the demand for many supplemental items and fragments are fairly stable. Do we agree there? So what we are talking about is gear options and progression?

I'm not sure I get to where you are at in terms of supply (the flood) causing a demand issue and reducing prices when player isnt even seeing the supply on the whole. (Search and filter are the gates)

Whether you decide to put an item up for sale, only impacts whether a player sees it or not. The quality of your item determines the price or if it sells. I suppose they could limit the number of items you have up for sale to 20 or 25 or something if there is a tech concern, but imo, the economy impact is negligible with the currently available tools.

That said, GGG isnt changing regardless of how I feel about it, so perhaps this back and forth isnt really worth much. I disagree an AH would kill the game, but GGG gives zero fucks what I think lol.

I just tesetd it.

Was looking for mediocre items.

1. Amulet
- 50 life
- 70 pseudo ele res

= 7k+ listings

2. Boots
- 50 life
- 70 pseudo ele res
- 20% movespeed

= 7k listings

3. Ring
-50 life
- 70 pseudo ele res

= 10k+ listings

What on earth makes you think filters are doing anything for mediocre items?
Let alone trashtier items.
You dont use half a dozen filter settings for those. Maybe 2 or 3 and thats it.

Filters do nothing for those items. The boots for instance had 3 filter settings and yet the cheapest pair of boots was available for 1 chisel.
1 chisel!
Please tell these people arent fighting for visibility by undercutting the marketprice, I cant wait.

Now multiply the listed items by factor 10 or 100. What do you think is going to happen? Even with 4 or 5 or even 6 filter settings you would still be looking at hundreds of items at least and no one is going to scroll through pages and pages of this stuff.
You are either on top of the list or you arent going to sell anything.

Bro, I don't know what to tell you, thats what people do right now. Ain't nobody looking through 10k times though, so this is just a meme of an example. Let alone a factor beyond that.

Most people narrow it down to a couple hundred at most by increased filtering, and then sort by price from there.

If you really believe the trade site's functionality is too hard to find items, then sure go ahead and live it King, I wont stop you at this point.

Thats been my point the entire time FFS!

Filters dont do shit. In the end it comes down to the price and whoever offers the best deal gets to sell stuff.
Again, undercutting is the key here, not the filters.

The more items are being listed, the worse it gets. Common sense.
Thats why more convenient tradesystems are a bad idea, especially for the Average Joe.

You are one the most stubborn people on this board.
Im curious to see if you are going to take the L or move the goalpost once more to avoid this - as you usually do.

Cant wait.

Ohhh that's what this is about...

That's a bit petty and sensitive for the internet imo, but if that's how you feel, so be it.

Absolutely not sensitive, nor petty. Just a wannabe-witty remark :)
If I'd felt 'violated' (as is popular these days), I'd report the post. Can't remember the last time I reported a post.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
NVM...
