What content is still worth doing lootwise?
Definition of worth doing for me: Can realistically (i.e no mageblood/mirrortier dropchance) drop stuff that's worth more than 100C 2 weeks into the league. I don't want to spend 80% of my playtime in my hideout selling a bunch of 10c crap. And i don't want to have to use TFT so don't even bother mentioning carries and shit like that.
My perspective: Abyss: Nothing worth of note that can drop Breach: same here, only flawless breachstones have any value and they drop from invitations Harvest: lol Deli: Good if you can manage 100% deli and full simu otherwise useless. Expedition: I hate the mechanic so i never ran it. I know it used to be valuable but from what i've seen on reddit both the logbook drop rates and the rewards of the NPCS have been nerfed into oblivion at this point. Still worth it? Harbinger: ex shards are worthless and frag shards are mirror tier rarity, good if you want annul orbs for crafting or occassional bulk sales for chaos but otherwise worthless Ritual: Can technically get you a divine but i don't think i've ever seen one. What's the chances here? Legion: Only good if you have an extreme clear speed build to do 5 ways Heist: The only worthwile mechanic left as far as i know Essences: Needs to be done en mass to get deafening essences via upgrading but can be somewhat worthwhile i guess? Delve: Used to be good for XP but since altars even that is gone. Is there any value to it nowadays? Invitations: Have never been that great and got slaugtered even more with 3.20 removing doubled affixes and release all nodes on the atlas tree. Eater/Exarch with the forbidden flame/flesh droprates nerfed it's pretty much down to gambling for that ashes/omni to get any value out of them. Ubers are similar + that jackpot ring so you have 2 worthwhile drops instead of 1. Sirus: Uber version can drop the new explody flask but aside from that? Awakener orbs and that's it. Maven: Awakened gem droprates got butchered in favor of that 1 in twohundredbillion chance to get one from mapbosses. Nothing worthwhile outside of that. Elder/Uber Elder: Watchers eye and fragments, uber elder has void forge so not a complete waste of time, you at least get your investment back reliably even without hitting the jackpot. Shaper: Fragments, flask and Starforge so same as Elder Probably forgot a bunch of things but feel free to mention anything you find worthwhile or correct me on anything i am missing. I am not a regular league player so i don't have much experience on that front but in 3.20 90% of the wealth i got was from a single divine altar (4 divines) and an inspired learning jewel early on that also sold for 4 divines. That's it. Everything else wasn't even worth picking up. I didn't really intend to play the league for long to begin with but i didn't even last 2 weeks and with the state of loot the game has right now i didn't even bother playing standard at all. i found ritual and expedition to be the best. got a few raw divines from ritual. a couple from tujen and also a mirror shard from tujen. he also gave a lot of other good stuff. you need to spec into him on the atlas though

not sure why you "lol" harvest
and your deli explaination is kinda weak too harvest gives like 5-30c each deli mirrors give like 14-28c each (not counting the random rewards) if you run maps fast then this can ramp up pretty much and people buy deli orbs and harvest juice in huge amounts = easy big sales if u hate trading i also tried breach and got like 20-50c per map (but breach is slow) Last edited by Delamonica#7854 on Jan 29, 2023, 10:20:38 AM

Abyss: A certain minion jewel is actually not that rare when you've fully speced into Abyss.
Breach: Early access to Breach, means early access to heaps of "The Chosen" divination cards, which can make you lots of money early on - and the good outcomes still sell for a decent amount. Harvest: Why "lol" on Harvest? Probably the easies way to make bank these days, because the Harvest juice doesn't just sell for a nice penny, it's VERY easy to sell. Deli: The simple rewards from certain orbs is still an OK bonus on top of your maps. I see Deli as an addition to your main strat, and it fills that role OK'ish. Expedition: Still good. Both Rog and Tujen can be gold mines. Harbinger: This is where your "lol" belongs. Ritual: Seems fairly under powered to me. Legion: Still money to be had from selling emblems. I've made countless of divines from Maraketh emblems. Hest: Boring, but good. Essences: Same as Harvest, VERY easy to sell. Delve: Yes, it has value. You probably need to go down to at least depth 400+ - but you WILL see a decent amount of bosses down there, and the rewards from them sell - at least early on. Top the rest? " Good summary. Breach can net a lot of breachstones very very quickly which can enable selling them or The Hidden runs easily I spec'd into Harbinger early league for a few weeks and I have nothing but regret. It's really bad now. Thanks for all the fish!

Surprised nobody even mentioned Blight. You can run the maps with 3x teal if you know what you're doing, really good quick profit. Blight-Ravaged can be fun too, but the returns aren't as good due to the map price.

Almost all the league mechanics have an expected value in chaos orbs that's fairly low. It all comes down to RNG and big drops when it comes to league mechanics. Bossing is still very profitable when your lucky if you can put in the time / effort I personally can't.
What I did this league was run exiles with ruckus node and I have to say my expected value from them mostly came from rare ring / amulet drops. I didn't really find any valuable unique items from exiles even though I found about 200 unique items. Expected value vs real value in league mechanics is completely dependent on lucky drops imo. |

Probably should have said that in the starting post, but selling content i.e invitations, breachstones, simulacrums and stuff like that isn't really what i want to do either. I should be rewarded for doing content, not for skipping/selling it but i guess i can't have that in this game.
As for Harvest, i pretty much consider it the most useless league mechanic in the game right now and i am honestly surprised to hear that it actually sells. |

" Yea you get like 400-600 yellow juice a harvest if you're specced for it, which is like 0.2 divine (50c or something). Some people run a super advanced sextant strategy for harvest every map which they harvest craft 'doesn't consume sextants', each map they spend less yellow essence on the craft than they make, but they get infinite sextants this way. (They also run the one that forces bosses to drop a guardian map and makes them harder, so they get a guardian map per map too). This only works if they have the like 100 divine sextant to get 3 winged scarabs each run, otherwise there's not enough pack size. People use harvest crafts for div card gambling, so yellow force sells like mad. It's not uncommon to get 1k+ yellow life force in one map, and that's a quarter of a divine.
Right now, no mechanic beats harvest in terms of profit. Also, legion drops a shitton of raw divines, on top of emblems and assorted loot. Red altars are great, because they get sextants often and those are 70 for 1 div these days. Also, exarch forbidden jewels are crazy expensive because people run eater for the divine altar loot explosion (which is extremely uncommon). And then masters are great - temples are easy to make and sell great (locus is 180c, doryiani's 100c, and you almost always get one of those when specced into Alva, and it only takes 3 maps to complete a temple); and Craicic Chimeral isn't all that uncommon, but sells for 1.4 div. |
