For the love of god can we have a in game auction system?

unfortunately this will never happen, like every tencent game, because today it is dominated by a P2W system as here in the west the items are not directly sold the pay walls are replaced by timegates. THERE IS NO DIFFICULTY IN ANYTHING in poe, the only thing that exists is a waste of time, making an uber boss is a matter of being willing to play 20h/d every day, and the AH would end that and so in a matter of days you would finish your build and run over the game content faster than D3 and in the second league so no one else would come back

I played D3 hardcore for a long time with AH. Can't say anything bad about it. Buying and selling stuff was easy. Funny thing is that D3 even closely didn't need the AH as much as POE does now. But somehow D3 had it and POE doesn't.

Chris is sure that AH will harm the game. Or at least possible harm of it will be higher than possible benefit. May be he's right, I didn't do any analysis and can't know for sure. But what I do know, is that the game is growing, and this question definetily worth reconsidering from time to time. Of course it makes sense only if the main reason of having such trade is not a showcase of MTX. Otherwise we're all cursed to have it as it is forever.

My Solution is a Hideout NPC that can sell your Stuff to other players.

Its also a protection against Scams.

A buyer have to join your hideout, but you can stay in map.

That would be a huge QoL and yes that would be faster you progession but has not the problems an auction house would have.

Obligatory posting of the trade manifesto to bring some insight to people who are new to why things are the way they are. I don't feel like debating or discussing because there is nothing left of the horse to kick, but it might be helpful to people who don't know it exists.

They have proven they do not want to spend money on in game support staff to monitor that kind of stuff. Right now botting and RMT runs rampant, the Auction House would only add to that. It would be a massive QoL, but it would cost them actual money to do anything about it, so it won't happen.

CHris won't let it happen, because SKYNET will takeover in a matter of hours and he knows it.

You only need to "navigate" one website.
Being "spammed by 500 people" means you put your item for sale way below the market price. Nothing weird about that.
I've never had a scam attempted on me.

They don't want to change trading, so it's not complicated. Deal with it or don't trade.

Why do People say AH would create power balance issues? If so just limit the amount of items that one account can put for sale on the AH at any given point of time.
