Anyone else finding the economy kind of screwed at the moment?

I mean, this is what happens when builds either A) become really popular, or B) become insanely niche. So if an item is hard to roll, it's gonna be pricy. and then also we got the divine switch, is fine, the issue here is Searching Exarch altars, they shit chaos at an unholy rate. Any map I get a 3% chance for raw chaos from an altar near the start, I can walk out with 20-30 chaos. So we have an insane influx of chaos, and an insane reduction of Exalts, now divines, because we are lacking the shards and div cards for divines like exalts have.

So since chaos is so numerous due to this, Divines go up.

For people too lazy to even learn to make money, here is tis

Harvest:
Yellow Essence: 200c per 5k
Red/Blue essence: 200c per 8k
MAke sure to take atlas nodes that have chance for addition crop, chance to not kill the other crop, and the drought nodes are optional but they can force yellow essence to spawn more often and ESPECIALLY for essence drops to be duplicated. I can get 600-900 total essence on average per harvest and with the drought nodes, majority is usually yellow.

Sanctum, make a build with minions, totems, whatever, I've gotten divs almost every time I hit floor 4.

Bossing
Shaper: One fragment of knowledge, 110c, with the bossing nodes at the top I get maps fairly consistently. Shaper is a piss easy fight, Elder too, they're easy to farm unlike Sirius or Maven and generate easy free currency and both have some uniques worth going after (Shaper: Voidforge, Starforge due to buffs, Dying Suns 35c, Elder: Watchers eyes can be profitable)

Literally run t14+ maps with searing exarch altars: Take nodes in tree duplicating altars and better chance of altar. You do NOT need the boss progress nodes. The invitations for Exarch and Eater sell for 100c+ and you are GARUNTEED to get one after running enough maps with altars. This is as braindead as it gets, click altars, run maps, that's it....In fact, BOTH Exarch and Worlds generate money, the ichors/embers all sell fairly well and can be farmed in large quantities with altars.

Expedition: Haggling with Teaujin can gets TONS of chaos, divines and all sorts of currency you need to craft for free and you can just sell logbooks vs running them if it's not your thing

Einhar: With the point that makes Deep Onces creatures spawn more often, as well as the atlas point for multiple red monsters, one Chracic Chrimera sells for 250-275c, I've found 4-5 since switching to eeinhar in my map and using polished beatiary scarabs (1c a map, if you can't afford this, see Chaos Recipes) providing bare minimum 2 red beasts.

Chaos Recipes: If somehow, NONE of the above work. You're too new to the game, low lv, need gear, etc. Chaos Recipes are the simplest way to make money. Simply sell ilv 60+ (hold alt to see Ilve on items when mousing over).

The items A) but be Ilv60 or higher, B) must be unidentified, C), must be yellow.

Sell the following for 2c

2x one handed weapon or 1x 2 handed weapon
1x helmet
1x chest
1x Gloves
1x Boots
1x Belt
2x Rings
1x Amulet

If you have a Quad Tab, you can make an easy layout by doing the following from top to bottom
Helmet
Chest
Gloves
Boots
1x row of 1h weapons
1x row of 1h weapons
boots
Gloves
Chest
Helmet

This makes it so one full row of items should be exactly 2 chaos recipes. Jewlery and belts just dump into another tab as they are much easier to store.

Just pick up random yellow trash you need to finish a set, keep a few on the go in a stash tab and just map. You will be able to earn enough currency to either afford to spend some money on farming like for scarabs or on your gear so you can advance.

Seems a few of the items, such as Kingmaker, you didn't realize were changed in terms of how they are obtained, rarity or stat boosts, and this changes the price. PoE prices do not stay the same league to league or even week to week. If Mathil put out a build for some item that was trash, I garuntee you you'd see the price of it skyrocket as everyone runs to try the build. Welcome to PoE, you gotta learn to adapt.

And after all the BS above it truly comes down to RNGesus.

So then why are you playing an ARPG if you dislike RNG? Sounds like a personal problem. Also, what RNG? You go into harvest, you will get essence, you sell essence, are you that stupid? You go into a map, you click altars, loot drops. It genuinely sounds like none of you actually enjoy playing the game at all. You just want to clear content.

But that's the thing, I really want to play the game.

What I don't want to do is open my own retail store, manage inventories, track down awkward suppliers, deal with shitty customers, earn a degree in PoE just so I can somehow create a basic item and so on.

I understand that for some players this is the exciting depth that PoE offers, but for me the balance is now so wrong with the non game side of the game. GGG are still fabulous magicians though, convincing many people that complexity = depth but it's not an illusion that I'm a fan of.

And still doesnt change its all RNGesus. No matter how much you insult people. Besides the chaos recipes one person could do everything your telling them and get a different outcome...

You do realize, that a normal player won't put those 100+ hours into the game in just 3 to 4 months, right?
The methods might work, but even then you are looking at ~30 maps per divine, which is just too much. Especially considering the 30h+ timesink just to get to red maps.

If the game allowed you to start at maps and progress from there, you would get fewer complaints, but currently most players are burned out long before they reach red maps.
Aaah, the classic. Someone gives us farming tips? Better complain instead!

Reaching red maps isn't about farming though, it's just map completion + upgrading the character from stuff that drops along the way. Whoever burns out before reaching red maps isn't going to stay with the game anyway, because it's simply not for him, and no adjustment to the game could help with that.

And as for farming, you're underestimating profitability of mechanics - zero effort mapping (stream of consciousness + alch'n'go), harvest averages ~25-30c per spawn and spawns in about 80 % of maps when fully specced into; expedition is greatly profitable when simply selling logbooks + using Tujen/Dannig from the stuff dropped in maps alone while selling extras; legion vomits raw divines + cards + emblems, which earns a ton of C; breach is rather profitable when fully specced into; delirium is crazy good; blight is good, and master misions are great as well (temples sell well, as do rare beasts and crafts from Jun on TFT). Even harbingers are pretty decent when run with fortune favours the brave + the passive that buffs that.

Simply speccing into a boss of choice (not Maven) for altars, and 2 - 3 mechanics and running alch'n'go yields easily 50c+ per map on average, so that's <5 maps per divine.

I don't remember the last time the game gave so much currency with such ease (Sentinel gave a lot but the buffed mobs were kind of dangerous when combined with AN, so the entry requirement was much higher than it is now).

--I looked up temples, and Doryani's now sells for 120c and Locus for 150c, so when specced into Alva, it takes 3 maps to complete a temple, and one will pretty much always get one of the two to t3 when focusing it, so Alva alone yields ~45c per map.

So in order to experience (not have fun or enjoy cuz those terms are banned in this game) a TEMPORARY league you need a minimum of 8-12 hours of acts, after that 2-3 days of farming to get geared up (and i mean just gear not good gear) and GG you get sick tired of the game ... to gear up for endgame ... like what it takes for a normal player ? wait a casual player doesn't even dream about endgame

In fairness PoE isnt even remotely player friendly in nearly any aspect. Its "fun" at times but holy fuck its unnecessarily hostile more often than not.

This wasnt, or isnt, really a major issue because genre choice was limited. I think people will be shocked at the amount of PoE players that migrate to D4 this year.

It's like looking at the 20k some odd number of registered PoE Ninja players. It's insane. the gear and what they play. Those folks are literally playing another game lol.
