Anyone else finding the economy kind of screwed at the moment?
" Imagine if crafting in this game wasn't casino worthy of meme's and you could actually find your end game gear and not have to craft it. Imagine if the end game didn't revolve around having 10 different browser tabs open to complete. Imagine if there wasn't 100 different currencies you had to manage because of software bloat. Imagine if this game actually taught you mechanics instead of lazily throwing you into the deep end. Imagine if you didn't have to level the exact same way every freaking time. Imagine if you could have deterministic crafting again. Imagine if Chris Wilson actually knew what was happening in his own game. Just imagine... What is this crap about having multiple browser tabs I keep haring about? All I need personally is the trade tab.

Its all in the sanctums. Ive been playing standard running t16s forever and not a single divine has dropped.

And they shouldn't. Out of about 300 divines I've made way less than 10% were pure drops. You'll never get rich if you rely on them.

LVL 88 in reds no divines or EX yet but lots of crazy random "loot" explosions. Still having fun but Im sort of a masochist/I take breaks from POE when its not fun
I've lost control of the controls...

" Where do you think all these divines come from? Bots running T1-5 Maps, who then go to gold selling site to sell them for RL Cash. The problem is the whole currency system is ripe for RMT, because it is so scarce. If we could get more currency, we could make our own items and not have to buy our items from the RMT kings. So PoE's team shouldn't focus on dealing with the bots but instead make running them more profitable via drop increases?

" what does crafting have to do with core build unique items? did you even read OP? hes complaining that uniques that are central to popular builds are expensive this has nothing to do with crafting what are you even on about kid? " Finally! Someone that has identified the basic flaw in the old "everyone can easily get rich, just do this!" mantra. I will add though that it's not just bots, but basically a giant ponzi scheme. The working poor sell their 3 Divines they found for basic upgrades while the uber-rich just keep getting richer. I hate trading in this game so much that I pretty much just play SSF these days. I'd rather not have gear and progress than engage in, and support, such a shit system. Since the loot drop changes I've found significantly less Exalts and Divines compared to previous leagues. So much for just shutting my eyes and slamming an Ex. I haven't found a single one this league. The game gets more broken every league. I genuinely miss the old PoE where crafting was chaos spamming till you rolled something usable and then maybe at the end of the league through an Ex at it to see what happens. At least it was far more equitable then for everyone. |

Divs come from the collective playing power of the thousands of players that generate currency at a steady rate but lack the skill/drive/hours to farm the gear required to all play the same build they are elevating the price of.
I'm sure bots contribute but by far and away the biggest differentiator for build cost is how meta it is, if you play off meta almost everything is cheap. OP is attempting to play arguably the most on the up meta build right now, the covenant was 1-2 div on HC week 1 and they are 20 now as more players finally realise SRS are bangin. Soultaker was almost certainly a deliberate nerf, AG is already a degenerate system that holds itemisation to ransom but it isn't like a build is make or break on AG .. well unless your chains of command. |
