This is getting ridiculous even by my standards.

Update since I last posted:
I ran about 25-30 full sanctum runs (all 32 rooms) and I'm now 12/17. The issue isn't major boons appearing its the issue of major AFFLICTIONS not as common. I seen major afflictions only TWICE in these runs. Both have been Glass Shard. Since there are only 13 major boons in this challenge, it is a lot harder to complete if major afflictions don't appear. Major Afflictions are very rare + you must have at least 3 minor afflictions.
Because pact is next: REMOVE 3 minor afflictions and GET major affliction I stuck with this as well, the most stupid challenge so far... I hope they will change it at max to 10, but not 17 for sure. |

This was the last one I finished. By that time, I was 14/17. It took 3 days of spamming Sanctums to get this done. I got nothing on day 1, only repeats, so that was a bummer. Then I got 1 on day 2, and finally the last 2 on day 3. Every time I found one it was like winning the lottery lmao
Like everyone said, Major Afflictions are very hard to find and they make up a lot of that list. Except for Bronze Coin, all of the ones I still don't have are Major Afflictions. As far as I know, the only way to get them is the Accursed Pact. I'm not sure about fountains, but I read that Benevolent/Afflicted fountains can give major boons/afflictions. Anyway, here's what I did: - Just spammed sanctums. Open map, find sanctum, pop eater/exarch, port out. - My priority is Pacts > Fountains > Merchant. I put Merchant last because you cannot get Major Afflictions from her, which is all I was really farming in the end. If you still have a lot of Major boons, then Merchant should go second. - Avoid Black Smoke, it's bad. Golden Smoke will brick your run. I was forced into Golden Smoke once and I just restarted the sanctum. - Keep 3 minor afflictions on you at all times so can get the 3 for 1 deal at a Pact. |

Bro I'm gonna give up on this one, literally sitting at 39 for 5 days doing nothing but sanctum, and still at 12/17.

UPDATE:
As you can see I have completed all the challenges. So my strategy for that was next: 1) Create new character ( I have created freezing pulse totem build for easy farm) 2) Go to ACT 9 ( you need 2nd part of the campaign to have access to PACT rooms) 3) Farm ACT 9 Quarry. This is the best spot for league mechanics ( they ALWAYS spawns around teleport ) So you basically go to the sanctum, save, return to tp, ctrl click new quarry) 4) DO NOT LEVEL UP ABOVE 70 lvl ( you can use vendor recipe to decrease level) I came on level 63 and finished the challenge on level 70... it took me 3 days (I had 15/17). Of course I haven't been playing for 24hx3 ;) Strategy inside Sanctum: 1) PACT - the highest priority (can get buff and debuff) 2) Then MERCHANT - can buy major buff or minor-to-major buff convertor 3) Then FOUNTAINS - very small chance to get major AVOID: -unknown rewards debuff -random rooms debuff Recommended items: -sanctum have additional room unveiled -merchant has additional sell option -monster receive more damage -regen resolve or inspiration stuff Good Luck exiles. P.S. I have tried to spam maps, but this method is much faster even if you take campaign completion time in consideration. |
