Why are Rogelikes so popular?

You Start with nothing and have to face overpowerd enemies and grind your way to defeat them some day. So like playing POE HC SSF.

But with the RESOLVE Mechanic, its like someone trows at you a bucket full of paint and then said: "Got you, Game Over you a dead now."

And you stand there barely touched and think WTF.

PoE isnt Paintball.

We should recover resolve after every room passed. Sometimes, I take a fresh breath of air after killing a pesky rogue and a nice on death mechanic takes what remains of my resolve... wtf.

I like how the bosses have a slow wind-up but blast the entire screen.

I was at near full resolve then some statue boss insta killed me. I couldn't see the que because he was so big that he was mostly off screen.

I play Galvanic Arrow and I'm more or less doing fine in the mechanic, but some things are really grinding my gears:

- White Mobs which do dangerous (explosions, teleports) stuff are at the same time super annoying but also super worthless for the player to interact with
- Some bosses have like almost roomwide AoE. Feels like Atziri Flameblast Spam just worse. Feels a little bit overtuned.
- Some bosses have a little bit too many AoE skills. The fire hound or whatever for example. Especially the random small projectiles he shoots from his back (?) are really hard to see I feel.

Playing a Melee build and I can agree the resolve damage is a bit high without any early way to lower that damage (other than hoping to survive long enough for a trader)

I like the system though - prevents the need for an actual death with XP rammifications.

The attacks are telegraphed pretty well but melee does make it almost impossible to not get hit
Resolve feels so bad, especially for melee and tank builds AS EVERYBODY TOLD YOU IT WOULD, comeon guys do better
I had a buddy roll melee yesterday and I told him don't. I encourage anyone one else to take the bait hook out and play something else. I'm a 2/3 melee player. I've been dying to play but I won't.

Stuff like Reave, Seismic, etc might work later on but you're still going against builds that can throw spells down and hide. Totems that taunt for you, mines and minions that body block.

Resolve is the single worst idea in the history of PoE. The fact that it made it to the live game is pretty sad.

I think it shows that the current league system is deeply flawed. The devs have run out of good ideas years ago.
This league mechanic Sucks So bad WHY play Melee WHY have a toon that can ingnor 90% of all in Damage but cant make it out of one room
