resolve needs to go
Everyones hate resolve. GGG, remove it already.
Im skip league mech cause im hope its will be fixed. For now its unplayble for meele. |

Resolve is stupid. It needs to go. It's bad enough the league content is an out-of-map mechanic.
Resolve, Heist Perception Towers, Incursion Timers, etc., it's all stupid. GGG, when you add content to the game, let us play the content at our own pace with whatever build we choose for crying out loud. Being kicked out of a zone is not fun. Attempting to force me to build and play a character that can jump through the hoops of new content is not going to work on me. I want to play what I want to play, not be forced into something I don't want to play. As always GGG, you can do whatever you want. But if I don't find it fun, I'm just going to post my grievance, quit the league until next, and not buy a supporter pack. I may stick around for another week or so to see what Sanctum changes you come up with, but if I don't see anything positive in this time frame, I'll be gone until next time. |

Right... That's me done with this league mechanics unless Resolve is removed... I hated Resolve when I first encountered it, but decided to give it a second chance.
But... I've had enough of off-screen hits, off-screen charges and off-screen flickers to do any more! If I can see it, I can avoid it, and if I don't it is my own damn fault. If I can't see it coming, it is fatally flawed game mechanics! I was even playing with a seemingly good build for the mechanics, EA Ballista... Fair contender for worst league mechanics ever... I wanted to try RF build this league. And even bought supporter pack for 60$ before launch. And now, after release, I feel that I was tricked (f....). This resolve mechanics is broken to the ground. Especially for melee range builds. If even EA ballista builds complain - then I don't know how what builds are this mechanics for? On top of that - every room you may receive another debuff/restriction. You just become weaker and weaker and you have less resolve, cannot regain it or even get debuff that forbids regaining resolve. Really? [Removed by Support] Aaaaaand - there are no rewards. You just don't get any good rewards. I'm at level 52 and wasn't skipping this piece of "game" (s...) but received 1 chaos, several chances, alchemies and a bit of other useless currency. So. Have you ever played real rogue likes/lites? I've played a lot of them. And no, this mechanics is anything, but totally not rogue like/lite. In any rogue game you receive some rewards on each run/floor so you can potentially compensate debuffs or increase in enemies' strength. Everything else relies either on skill or on random. But in the end you can finish almost any run if you're skilled enough. And what we have in this league: you receive debuffs all the time, you need to manage resolve which depletes faster then you move, enemies have high HP and actively use teleports, AOE skills, ranged skills, out-of-screen skills. And as rewards you mostly get some currency and lots of coins you cannot spend because that one time I met merchant room and clicked on it - I came to another room for some reason, maybe because of another debuff. Really funny... yeah... WHERE THE HELL IS THE BALANCE BETWEEN BUFFS AND DEBUFFS? WHERE THE HELL IS REWARDS? [Removed by Support] And I thought Kalandra was mediocre league... Tried now with 3 different char's till act 2 the sanctum and still never got further than room 4. Mostly only till room 2 or 3.
So... this s*cks. Please consider changing or remove this resolve punishment. Thanks. Live your Life. Love your Life.

someone mentioned early on just changing resolve to a stacking debuff style mechanic. basically taking damage makes you build up resolve which makes you take more damage. eventually you'd be so weak you'd get one shot by basic a mob, but at least if you where careful you could survive long enough to repair your resolve with boons/fountains.

I tried it, I tried liking it and now I m just ignoring it. Sure I'm playing ruthless so my damage is not as great but it doesn't change the fact that resolve feels terrible in its current state. It's not difficult, it's tedious bcoz monsters don't deal ANY damage to your character and your hp bar is resolve basically and oh boy it goes down quickly just you make one mistake or you didn't see something bcoz of all the shenanigans happening on your screen. Bosses are not much of a problem rather than everything else that's on the floor. The traps, the very tight spaces to dodge damage, the visual mess itself. You end up spending too much time for little reward and failing a run literally feels like you just wasted your precious time for nothing. Maybe it feels better in non ruthless league but I can't see myself enjoying it much either way. Honestly surprised they left the league in the state it is now, usually they would tune down some mechanics but I guess this is just how it's intended to be played and not much is going to change.
