Yep, it's an unmitigated disaster as far as gameplay execution is concerned.
We're at about the same player numbers as we were on the same day in Kalandra league, although Kalandra started with 25% more players on day 1. So the player abandonment rate is not as steep, but it didn't attract as many to start with. Day 11 was when GGG rolled out a patch to address player complaints in Kalandra league - which then did bugger all to arrest the abandonment rate. You'd think that was a valuable lesson for GGG to learn - get it right on day one because players aren't coming back after they leave. At the end of the day though, GGG knows their internal metrics and knows how much hype they can build pre-league to make MTX sales. As long as they keep sucking people in and making their money, then it's not really a problem for them. I would argue however that we're seeing a concerning trend here of poor conceptual execution and another one or two leagues in a row will significantly damage their remaining brand reputation. I mean, they basically forced their streamers to diversify into other games last league and those streamers will have back up plans if the game continues to decline. |

I've been trying to think of ways to make resolve work but honestly, it just doesn't work and it doesn't add anything. You already need to manage your survivability so that you don't die; having an extra health bar that you can't protect with defenses or regenerate with recovery mechanisms just feels terrible.

this is just terrible. my friends are already starting second characters. is this what we're supposed to do? make a second char for the league mechanic?

i've never lost interest in a league this fast before. i hit maps two days ago... and aint fired up poe since. keep checking for word the whole resolve thing is gonna be fixed, but as it is... i have a lot of other games i am far more interested in
