Alright, Resolve is not as bad...Update 2

Resolve is to stop you from finishing the whole thing instantly lol, I really don't see what you are struggling to understand? A point of roguelikes is to do better and better each time and this helps emulate that. To me it seems completely reasonable and expected.

Though I do think lab needs a full on redo at some point if they haven't already for poe2, it feels very out dated and boring.

We'll see how much copy/paste roguelite the league will be. Sentinel took me 15 minutes to quit and Lok took 10 days. I won't compare new league with lab because lab is easy these days with life regen and stone golem. We will see...

The characterization of Ruthless is that just finishing the storyline will be a big challenge. So, the thought is that playing Ruthless will make it less critical to do lab, especially the third and fourth labs. Which have the worst trap gauntlets.

You only get 6 Ascendancy points. Meaning the 4th (Eternal) does not give any in Ruthless.
No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!

That's rich when directed against someone with 40/40 challenges.

Here's my explanation. Lab was disliked by many because the trap gauntlets were not ARPG gameplay. ARPG gameplay means what I call kill-monsters-get-loot gameplay.

what an tragic end. defeated by those who challenged the core of ggg's uniqueness: to come up with something fresh and new everytime.

so they just slapped the "arpg" tag on the game and then complained about the game being not an arpg? what if we slapped the tag "intelligent gamer" on accounts and ...
