3.20 NERFS PREDICTIONS

Lightning Strike for sure,

100% chance that Lightning Strike projectiles now function like other strike projectile skills and require a target before projectiles are fired.

I dont know, it could be that.

They could say - lets constantly move around the top skills, not just for skins, but because it will be more fun for players if the top skill is not the same for 20 leagues in a row.

Or, you could justify another way - players tend to find the path of least resistance, the lowest hanging fruit. The skills where you maximize results for unit of effort. GGG nerfs this for balance reasons, they don't want there to be low hanging fruit, they want all skills to be ok but not much better than others.

Or maybe a mix of both?

You might be right - but have GGG ever thought - hermm - this might take out a lot of fun that current players have ?

I mean, isnt the game is FUN and like by players, is more important than " I want to design / make this to an "ART piece" according to my taste" ?

not to mention the intentional "disturbing" / "devalue" of current players assets (gear with existing mods/crafts for the build they specifically like to play on) put in so much negativity into the player base, like smacking them to the face ?

" You like to play the game this way ? Wait - Let me have my fun seeing you disappointed " --- by GGG --- ( Could this be true, deep under their designer mind ? )

Because in a few leagues of the past 2 years, it did make me feel so (almost instantly whenever they release such changes )
-10% aura effect for every aura beyond one.
Yes, running 11 auras will be the same as running none (except for the reservations, of course). Running 12 auras will actually give you a reverse/negative effect at 10% effect.
Let each player choose which version of PoE to play:

Yeah thats a good question.

I mean Chris is on record saying he would rather have 10,000 people play a game GGG is proud of that one a million play that they feel they sold out.

So, if you take him at his word, and this is no insult, its very understandable why they dont seem moved by player preferences, player counts, reviews of recent leagues, etc.

This is not meant to be a bash-GGG post either. Im sure they care a little bit, but I think they feel if 50% of the players dont want to follow the vision, then goodbye.

They're certainly getting closer to the former than the latter. At least numbers wise. I can't assess how much pride they feel about the current game state.

If thats true, then chris wouldnt have engaged into a damage control pr stunt right after 3.15. If next league doesnt mark a major change in direction, then its obvious that they put everything on the poe2 card.

so this isn't really a prediction, but more like a wish i really would like to see!

i believe the six-link meta really needs to go. we had a truly easy run so far and to bring back some challenge i would love to see fully linked items being alot less common.

ways to do it would be for example:

- increased bench cost from 1500 to 7500 fusing
- split fusing in a 1/20 stack and let those never drop stacked
- reduce droprates for any six-link related item
- monitor drops of fusing and stealth nerf rates (like you always do) if required

So you want a lot more content not available to many players, not to mention the short league time ?
